No airline will do refund or reject your ticket. At most they will just give u another ticket for a later flight.
This is where the travel insurance comes into play.

How important is the meeting? If it is really important I suppose you can always hire private jet.

1. You put in RM500 booking offer through the dealer (broker) to secure the deal
2. Owner did not accept the offer
3. Dealer refund you the offer

Different case if the dealer is actually the owner. Don't think there is much to pursue here.

Let me guess. You didn't even go over to the dealership and inspect the car. These "too good to be true" deals are all scams and it has been around for a long time. Take this as a painful lesson. There is nothing much you can do except to lodge a police report now.
