Hi all, recently I have encountered problems with maxis router where the WAN port keep spoiling after lightning strike, changed 3 routers in a month but is just too inconvenient even if its under warranty.

I have put a surge protector at the Fibre Optic cable as well but it doesn't seem to help. Did u guys have any such problems or just me?

Is the electricc socket or extention which you plug the router in function correctly?

Fiber using fiber optic, i.e. lights, how could lighting strike through? Unless it go thru home electricity, then, all or even most of your home will kena already.

In my more than 5 years using Unifi (yeah, non maxis, but still same tech), never once kena also, but, if u talk about the cordless phone, kena countless time until I give up jor

nowadays everytime raining we're very sensitive, just plug out everything, noticed that it maybe strikes from the cable instead of power plug.
