I am using first batch celcom set B618s-22d, unmodded. Should I update?

please aware, 1st batch 22d sialcom unit. DONT update the latest firmware or set auto update function.

your modem will be screwed telco lock functoin if u are not using sialcom line  

ald 2 reported 1st batch telco lock triggled and still no solution yet to unlock back

Luckily mine is not a Celcom set, so not affected.

Hmm..just have the intention to buy b618, and this thing happens  

Any good alternative router to recommend? Archer MR600 seems good but I can't find any local seller..

i plan to start selling them, have 5 stocks in hand right now, but i'm still experimenting to see if i can update all of these to the latest firmware, because the latest firmware WEBUI is just too beautiful to pass 

still working things out with my supplier too so i can get more stocks also pushing the selling price down

so stay tune 

there is at least 1 case problem with 65d TM variant, i dont really know the detail of the case nor do i know if its a legit info, but it was posted by one of the admin of that FB group that some ppl already posted that group conversation in this thread

and another topic, i think one of our forummer is also a member there, and one of the first who shared if he is using the latest firmware, he did discuss some there, but not here probably due to alot of restriction in here, and i wont mention his name either without his permission

not sure if you've been following it, but celcom has 2 batches, first batch was unlocked from them and those first unlocked batch got OTA pushed too and became locked even some of them already done with their contract, thats why ppl rage so much 

there is always still possibility things like this will happen again as long as it is "branded" modem (especially heavily subsidized)

IMO buying a certain "branded" modem isn't a wise preventive measure

noticed sometime no network for suddenly, but still can access the modem login just said unable to connect to network and red led. had to reboot ..not sure it's my b618 or local tower here problem.

b618 really hard to find.. b528 is 2nd on the list, is this any good?
