I want to buy the 2nd graphic card but i found out that between the heat sink and several heat pipes got residue as shown.
Im not sure does this impact or trouble the performance in long run since the owner told me already tried clean yet unable to do so.
Around 2 years usage for these.

those are oxidization of the chrome plating, or may be nickle plating, due to the moisture and our fingerprint, which is oily and slightly acidic.

But it looks terrible, My VenomousX also look like crap but at least it does not look that dirty as the pics above.

What card is that? anyway unless it's really dirt cheap or you're diy expert.
The first thing will go in 2 years old card is the fans, those flimsy fan on custom cooler don't last long compares to the blower type fan.

Aorus 1080ti. I were thinking sold off my evga 1070 add on cash for this one which I already did last night.
He gave me different unit but still got a few of the residue like average but not worst as the picture one which like almost entirely whole fin covered.
I am not sure the flimsy fan still support or how but it did reach 75C at most, 1x at 80C. Preferably might be good somehow.

my 2080 max at 60-70°C tho, and suppose it's a hotter card than 1080ti. aorus shouldn't be getting that of a high temp...the oxide layers might have degraded the heat dissipation. just saying.

Just looked up on the website, dual ball bearing fan, seems good, should be last for years,

I actually wanted too say hold your horse for Navi release, Nvidia surely will release some newer GPU to counter and the old 1080 price will going down,
But i was too late lol.

Well probably the 1yr half alrdy make quite difference in reducing reliability for the temperature as u mentioned. Still its not too hot as zotac prbably fine i think.

Ya i been surveying quite amount of time before choose that and been satisfied ever since 2yrshalf usage. Then it comes for x34p unexpected upgrade with 2k UW taken toll in the fps, i unable to bear below 60fps which why i make the hasty decision. U think probably it might came out around this period maybe?
