- 5G system is completely different from current 4G system. right now 4G caters for mobile phones, while 5G caters for so many more things.
lets say there are 200k ppl in an area, there might be 5x or 10x more devices in the same area, making 1M devices that needed to be constantly connected to the network. so the power intensity is crazily higher than usual

Either way I don't see why it's an issue. High frequencies waves are extremely directional and only used in point to point links.

the IOT 5G system will need to support many more devices, if u say 5G on wifi device, try 10x 5G devices beaming at your office or home

It's hard to compare the military hardware vs telecommunication hardware. Even though they operate on almost the same frequency range, but their main difference is directional focus and power output.

Now the question is probably why the ADS is chosen to be 95 GHz.

My guess is the emitter size. When you increase your frequency, you actually decrease your wavelength, which means the emitter size is smaller. Which is what you want, smaller emitter leads to cost saving and portability.

But wait, the downside of decreasing wavelength is decrease in penetration power of the microwave. Which means, for ADS to be effective, you need to increase the overall power output to compensate the lack of penetration power.

So with those variables in hand, you can set the size of antenna you want (relative to the car), power consumption (ideal power output of a Humvee battery), hence you can calculate the suitable operating frequency range. Of course all these are just simplified understanding.

I would for look for sources that are credible especially from IEEE journals instead pay to confirm enter like Hindawi.

Green light has about 600THz. A 10W 600THz laser can boil your eyes. But the green light 600THz from your phone screen doesn’t do anything.

The research on EMF effect that is used for safety standards is about 30years ago, recognizing ionisation effects like heating effect.

However there are plenty more damaging results like damaging DNA, causing cells problems all are not recognized by government.

1. I do believe that some people might be more sensitive to non ionizing EMF than others. And not all non ionizing is the same. RF is relatively harmless unless in extremely high power.

2. However I doubt the current exposure or even exposure in the near future will cause cancer. The energy involved is just not high enough.
