 lens hood for my kt lens

i have canon EOS 350D with original kit lens buy straight from dealer..

my question is..

is there any available lens hood fit for my 18-55mm kit lens?

or the lens cannot fit of any lens hood?

you can get 3rd party lens hood, last time I saw in YL photo its rubber made. it can fit ur 350D kit lens.

Even Canon Malaysia don't carry the lens hood for kitlens. U might wanna special order from them.

Ps : almost 100% kitlens user don't uer hood for it since 1. Hood not cheap, 2. hood need special order.

u cant use rubber hood for your lense. heavy vignetting @ 18mm. smile.gif

I would suggest getting a DIY hood for your kit lens. Digital Camera Magazine suggested taking a piece of cardboard and rolling it to fit the size of your barrel then holding it into place with a rubber band...... Adjust the DIY hood so as it does not appear in your pics zoomed out Nor allow it to touch your focus ring.....

Just get a collapsable rubber lens hood, they can be extended to provide best coverage at specific length. If you ever drop your lens, it also works as a shock absorber.

I believe you are getting vignetting because u did not collapse the hood back to it's "wide angle" position.

but if im not prefer for DIY...i just might to buy it...
so can u all give me a specific location to obtain my lens hood for my kits?
