Was considering between ddpai and viofo
Is viofo worth the price difference compared to ddpai? As in quality wise is it a better dashcam compared to viofo? The price range seems to be reaching Finevu dashcam pricing already |

Any recommendations of installing dashcam in Shah Alam area.
I found Dasher, but they only install 70mai dashcams. Anybody know if they install other brands, too? |

QUOTE(ry8128 @ Mar 3 2025, 09:42 AM) My DDPAI z40 bracket holder is broken. Most likely due to heat over the years (my car is park outdoor 24/7) and bumping due to uneven road I guess. So my unit can’t be attached to the holder anymore. I've been using DC for > 10 years and hence have transferred many cameras to newly purchased cars. Anyone faced this issue before? How to fix it? Or what tape can be used? There is an option of buying the holder only but I try to avoid this if possible, as it might spoil my tinted when pulling out the old unit. If it's held by double sided tape, you can "saw" through it with a thread or fine string. The remaining tape on windscreen can be scraped away using finger nail. |

You mean you use a fine thread and sip it between the tape and the tint to saw it away?If it's held by double sided tape, you can "saw" through it with a thread or fine string. Yup, thread or string will cut away the tape. Dental floss works too Edit: don't forcefully pull out the mount. Saw until it is very loose (can easily peel off) or fully separated. Else you will damage the tint. Don't ask me how I know lol. This post has been edited by mushigen: Mar 22 2025, 10:44 PM ry8128 liked this post

QUOTE(diehard1979 @ Apr 28 2025, 11:47 AM) Just go for the 2 most popular budget and mid range brands here if you are unfamiliar with dashcam. 70Mai and DDpai. You can't go wrong with the price vs feature vs value for money with these 2 dashcam. Their dashcam are well proven with good pricing and many reviews. There are more premium pricier brands but unless you have very specific high expectation for the dashcam features and quality, these 2 are considered well established top of range low and mid budget dashcam that can fit MOST ppl budget and expectations with many use cases liao. |
