Hi Sifu,

I’m using 70mai S500s dashcam and just replaced my old 32gb to a new 128gb SD card.
I tried to reformat the old 32gb via Mac or Android phone but it failed. (Maybe the video inside the sd card is protected)

Any idea how to force reformat it?

Is it SD card or micro SD? For sd card make sure it's unlock state ; there is physical switch at the side

Use your dashcam built in function to format the card..don't use Mac/windows

Micro SD using adapter to format, yes it in unlock state.
I'm not using it for dashcam since got a new MSD, thinking of insert it to a phone.

That is why, I need to reformat and erase all the data inside. But can't...

I once had a similar problem...couldn't format micro sd on android phone. Popped the card into a windows PC and it formatted easily. Dunno what the problem was.

Have to find a Window PC to give it a try. Thanks.

Thanks, tried that but no luck as well.
Found out that the Micro SD Card is corrupted or damaged even I tried to reformat it in 70mai dashcam and a window pc.

BTW, I reformat another piece of Micro SD Card from 70mai dashcam too in PC, and it formatted without any problem.
Maybe the 1st card has aged.

Hi,

I am using viofo a129 plus duo, plug in to cigarette 12V power.

Notice that for few times, the camera doesn't turn on after i had start my car. This problem doesn't happen everytime. Most of the time it able to turn on as usual.

When it doesnt turn on, i had to unplug and plug in again, then it working fine.

I had tried delay boot option set to off, and also set to 5 seconds, same problem still happen occasionally for both settings.

Anyone have any idea how to solve it?

Check whether your cigarette plug is slightly rusted or not fitting in properly. Previously I had this issue, just change that plug to a new one and no issue. Some contact/spring thing I guess.

Could be the cable has an intermittent fault.

My dashcam is viofo a129 plus duo. Not a good model from viofo due to flaw & no more buffered parking mode. Any suggestion new dashcam with good parking mode with feature that alert driver parking record events when starting the car engine? I dont mind viofo other model if have this car startup parking event alert.

70mai's parking mode is kena banged then only start recording parking mode

Budget prefer less than 1k. DDpai no buffered parking mode? Got car startup alert the parking event?
Dont mind to pay for abit more for good buffered mode parking cam but must less than 2k 😂

Many Korean dashcams have it. Thinkware, FineVu, Blackvue, iRoad, etc. These have buffered parking modes and will have a startup alert.

But 70mai will need to get banged first then will have the startup alert
