Hardwire is actually using a fuse adapter to the fuse box without cutting any wires in the car. Technically this does not void warranty.

Another thing to consider if you are using parking mode or not. If yes then you'll need to use the HK3 hardwire kit with fuse adapters to the fuse box.

If not using parking then use the ciggie port to power the A129 Duo when you start the car only.

Read the 1st page first for what you function you required and the recommendation.
Around that budget, can search for Viofo A129 Duo or Pro, iRoad X9, Thinkware F200, etc

The best at the moment is Thinkware for it's parking mode.

Go to Sicurez in Sunway and check it out. Sicurez is the authorized Malaysia distributor and they provide installations for Thinkware and Viofo.

Got more and more idiots like this on the roads. Simply hog the lane and refuse to leave, causing slow driving behind them. This case shows an even dense driver that simply stops despite being the problem in the first.. I hope he’s made to pay for all the damages plus additional financial compensation and have license taken away. ranting.gif

As @blurjoey reply above.
You can visit Sicurez at Sunway as they carry both Thinkware and Viofo.
Their workmanship is excellent and they will answer all your query that you have about their dashcam.

If parking mode is important, can't go wrong with Thinkware.
For around your budget, I think you can consider Thinkware F200, X700 or maybe F770 (if it's on sale)

Sicurez - Thinkware

Actually if you can't hang it on windscreen.
Why not reverse it and make it sit on dashboard....

It will not work because the angle will not be good.

Try cleaning the windscreen and the suction cup with diluted isopropyl alcohol. Maybe that will help it stick better. Don't use glass/window cleaning detergent....those leave behind a film which reduces the ability of the cup to stick.
If u have any rather pungent air fresheners in the cabin, perhaps the fumes may have weakened the suction cup?

If the suction cup is permanently weakened and can no longer stick, it may be time for a new one.

Can try soaking the suction cup in hot water to soften it back. Also clean the windscreen before sticking back on.

If still can't then its time for a new mount.

Well for China dashcam hardwire kits, the cutoff protection are not 100% accurate like Korean dashcams or there is none.

For Viofo, the cutoff protection is not perfect yet but not as bad as the other no brand hardwire kit I guess.

Only get it if you want buffered parking mode. Else just use the ciggie port to power the A129 Duo.
*
Can I use others brand hardwire kit to Viofo A129? Any recommendation Korean or reliable hardwire kit that compatible with Viofo?

Just left 2 days my car using Viofo A120 Pro with parking mode + Viofo hardwire. My car battery drain to 0....can't start.

Didn't yr Eken come with a black plastic frame accessory that has a 1/4" screw mount? If u still have that accessory, just buy a new suction cup mount that has a 1/4" screw.
