As far as I know Combo updates are for those updating from a older versions, where you can update other in between updates at once.

Usually I dont use the Software Update for those huge files. I just download them from Apple's Support website first. Mine was 71.9MB...

I read from Apple forums advising us to use Combo update instead just in case the one that we downloaded from the Apple icon | Software Update which is incremental is not sufficient to fully patch the system.

So all these while i play safe by downloading combo :-)

I just realized something since the update, I have my powered speakers plugged into my Macbook all the time, since the update, everytime before and after running something with sound, there's a "thud" sound.

Example: When I empty my Trash, there will be a "trash" sound, as soon as I click "Empty Trash", the sound starts with a "thud" continued with the "trash" sound, and a few seconds after that, there's another "thud" sound.

It's like the system is switching on the sound to enable the sound, and then automatically switching off after playing the sound.

Eagle-eyed forum members have found new references in Apple's Mac OS 10.4.10 "Tiger" update that seem to support the forthcoming iPhone and rumored iMac revision.

Forum member bogg writes that four new display vendor ID's appear in 10.4.10 relating to the iMac. While the ID's themselves do not suggest any specific features of the iMac, they do lend credence to rumors that Apple plans to update the product within the next several weeks.

Also, AppleInsider reports that a new framework named "YahooSync" is installed with the update, most likely referring to support for various Yahoo! services supported by the the iPhone (including push IMAP and Yahoo! address books).

Meanwhile, forum user milhous, notes that http://www.yahoo.com/iphone redirects to http://iphone.yahoo.com with a "Sorry, the page you requested was not found" error. The DNS changes suggest that Yahoo may be preparing their own iPhone portal.

this update is for new upcoming iPhone

Ok if anyone else is experiencing what they call "audio pop" problems, take a look at this:-

http://www.macfixit.com/article.php?story=20070622084922319

As neekun pointed out, the problem is also mentioned in Apple discussions. The article at Macfixit is a little risky, but nevertheless an option for those who cant live with the popping sound.

The downloads as stated here's pretty huge compared to what I had. Mine was only at 20.1MB (but I had all other patches up to date before this)
