All hospitals got good and bad one la. Also if you wanna do surgery make sure they mark where they suppose to operate. When my dad was warded. His fellow bed mate was doctor, he need some brain surgery. They operate wrong side of brain 😵😳. I pity him because he is like a kid after that operation. He always ask for his mother like a child.

Not my dad his dif issue. But that guy next bed was a doctor they also can make this kind of mistake. I pity that guy he had it all even got beautiful gf doctor too. Now like this... 😔

Private hospital is better for common illness, but in many cases ill equipped for serious situation as they are of smaller capital and funding, not all of them can do comprehensive screening, Prince court, Pantai hospital Ampang and the likes are obviously different level than your regular private hospital.
I agree HUKM is better overall.

You probably don't have experience with gov hospitals and just preaching private hospitals is the best. Don't talk cock when you know nothing about the subject.

On the contrary, private hospital is good when you can't stand the wait time and for minor illnesses. They are known to scared of taking "risky" cases such as to maintain their good records. I know because I personally went through this. They are also charging exorbitant fees for profitability. If you don't believe me go and check your hospital bill of you were hospitalized there for a few days

Govt hospitals are actually ok but the worst is the wait time. You have some of the best and some of the dungu ones there but generally the specialists there are good to great. KL General Hospital is probably the best but also the busiest and crowded. University Hospital is great too. The rest are good in specific areas and you have to know which one is good in what. Selayang hospital has a great urology department. Sg Buloh has expertise in neurology.

I tot you are assigned to the General Hospital based on where you live? And simply go anywhere one?

One private hospital in sunway very bad type.

My insurance agents said got many case whereby only need A blood test for some illness. But the hospital doing few other type blood test too to increase thier revenue.

Emergency cases there is no assignment as nearest hospital is the guide. General illness you have to go though outpatient which is not recommended unless you can't afford general clinics. There are also klinik kesihatan to off load the massive less severe cases patients from govt hospitals.

There are still so much to be done for our public health Care but I must say the quality is generally not as bad as people think

They used to be THE private hospital before anything else exist.

Lol. If you were the only one in town then you are the best then. Actually Malaysian hospitals you should go by which is good in specific area not entirely on hospital itself. One hospital won't be good across the board. Some are good treating cancers. Some good with cardiology etc etc

A few years back, my kids food poisoning vomit 7 times in the car.
It was eve of Chinese New year no where open, lucky got Assunta Hospital. Since we are not from KL area, the doctor recommended treatment at once. After 3 hours on drips and meds, both my kids were back to normal.
Paid 250 for each kid, and for me it was worth it.

I wouldn't go to such extent. Yes they have equipment that rival or sometimes better than Private hospitals. But generally there is still not enough budget to operate efficiently ... hence long wait time.

We need a national insurance policy to make sure medical or all. Taiwan, AU and most developed Europe/Scandinavian countries have it. We don't

Have good experience with them in the 90's but since it wasn't somewhere you will visit everyday and I am more on KL rather than PJ..
Glad to know that they still keep up the good standard, their origin is a missionary hospital anyway, so must be different from others for profit private hospitals.

Tungshin I have on the other hand, not bad service, but inadequate facilities.
