Hi, long story short.

-Currently cutting
-still caloric deficit
-had to totally gv up strenuous exercise and cardio on doctors orders.
-i'm already half way there, abs started showing

Can i still continue to lose fat without exercise BUT still in caloric deficit? 500 cal deficit a day. Had to gv up weights at least a month.

From what I remember we have to keep pushing heavy weights so we avoid losing muscle. Maybe I can slot in some weights but definitely no cardio. Is that possible to still lose fat?

If weights training were absent, we sacrifice muscle right?

IMO you need weight training in order to sustain the muscle while on a calorie deficit.

The body's main goal is to survive anyway. Calorie deficit but with weight training, itll tell itself that you need the muscle to survive. So instead of the muscle, it sheds the fat.

If you're on calorie deficit but without weight training, it will focus on shedding the unused muscle first.

Good thanks, I guess still have to slot in some weights training la, but perhaps skip the vigorous cardio

No need to do calories deficit, I do low carb or keto eating lifestyle, didn't count calories at all and I didn't exercise for a year, from 56kg drop to 47kg. No exercise can lose weight one but not healthy, sometimes susceptible to cold, flu and fever.

I tried low carb and keto but I can't stand it, due to low energy and fatigue. I'm in caloric deficit now, and I still losing average 0.5kg per week, so I guess it's working.

I do few sessions metcon a week tho.
