Anyone who votes TT watercooling kit is a total loser. laugh.gif

Rather spending on TT, it'll be better if you just save your money and buy high end aircooling heatsink. shakehead.gif

I would definitely agree on sHawTY coz I was one of the stupid low performance TT Bigwater user ...

Fully crap, look at the design of the water block, it can't even cool off those hot gc or proc .... as better as a Thermalright cooler ...

I totally regretted to spent over RM600 for the whole set that only perform good enough for lower end PC >....

for Series cooling there are many other brand in the market works much more better than the fully crappy TT wc products,,,

totally agreed with bro Doom and sHawTY, hv experience using watercooling system, yap it cool but not easy to asamble compare normal heatsink fan based, if u think u will stick to current rig (which attech with watercooling system) for a year is ok lo, but if like some of forumer who always updating ur rig not strongly not recommend watercooling

and again from wasting ur money buy watercooling stuff just for proc only, better use that money go for highend heatsink fan both for vga and proc

If possible, I'll vote for D-TEK. But for a good price per performance, its better to go for swiftech set. thumbup.gif

what is the necessary basic requirement or standard temp drop that you guys expect when you overclock, and does water cooling give a significant amount of temp drop than active/passive/air cooling?

haha....i'm suprised when i see TT is in the list with Swiftech and DD....
well,TT is just in the standard of what Gate from CM,for beginner ok la,

For Swiftech and DD,both are for Hardcore and Ultimate overclocker.

For me,i better stick with Air Cooling,no danger at all,no need to afraid of leaking. laugh.gif

Swiftech got my vote. Why?
Swiftech have more range of proven product compare to DD. E.g. GTX, GT and its latest GPU Block; Stealth smile.gif.

No deny DD is famous during the last generation but seriously not on 775. The only stuff from DD that really looks ok to me now is its GC block. But if I really going to get a GC Block, I will go for EK. smile.gif

Anyway, you should avoid ThermalTake WC at all cost. Those BigWater is famous for its high failure rate. If you want to go for budget WC, I do think that Gigabyte Galaxy 2 set is a better option.

Trust me, that listed sites doesn't show anything.
What you should believe is the result from end user.
End user by the means of us, the consumer.

Reviewers isn't taken as consumer.
I take them as tester, the middle part.

We, as a buyer, who tested them by ourself, proves what's good & what's not. smile.gif

DD is only good in the old ages, the ages of 939, ages of 478.
But not 775. laugh.gif

Explain what do you mean by "decent price tag" by your understanding. smile.gif

Those who's been long enough in watercooling keep RM1K as a decent price tag.
Now tell me what price are you expecting by the means of that "Decent Price Tag". smile.gif

the best and cheapest is still

wira/kancil or motorbike radiator =rm 150 and below
fishtank water pump, get those to pump outdoor = rm 50~100
water block = rm180~250
tubing and connectors = rm 30 MAX
= rm 500 or so.

performance wise...u mar guess la, it is used to cool those cars..and the pump sure beats ANY retail pc specific water pump. pressure drop? where got preassure drop wan this pumps, the pump is a killer in pressure afaik, it is almost triple of those Laing D5 pumps >8D

heed the experts advice....if you choose a thermaltake/gigabyte WC...they are easy to install, heck even have step by step instructions, but after using them for a while, you will realize that a good air cooled hsf would beat it.

but putting together a diy WC kit takes a slight more time and some research needs to be done prior, but thats the interesting part right. Once you have all the parts and its up and running, you will definately feel more satisfied. thumbup.gif

I started with the TT Bigwater SE because at that time I could not get the Swiftech kits here. It was definitely better than stock HSF and also some of the aircoolers at that time since heat pipe coolers were not available then. Right now, most good aircoolers like the Ultra-120 Extreme would probably beat the performance of TT watercoolers. Of course TT has also upgraded their WC kits to use bigger tubing.

My Bigwater SE pump gave up after 9 months vmad.gif - looks good though blush.gif and easy to setup thumbup.gif but you only know the value of reliability when the pump fails and you can't use the PC vmad.gif vmad.gif Got the pump RMAed but never used it after that. Currently using it on my second rig but with Distilled water and Swiftech Hydrx additive instead of the crap but expensive coolant that TT provides. With the TT original coolant - algae will form in your loop that probably causes the pump to fail prematurely.

I'm using Swiftech Storm V2, MCP655 pump and Thermochill PA120.2 now and performance, reliability and satisfaction are second to none. Used that with a P4 640 oced to 3.9 GHz for 24x7. Can OC to 4.1GHz for benchies. Swiftech Storm is the best for single core CPUs - proven many times over provided it is paired with a good and powerful pump.

Now on multi core CPUs, the best blocks are the D-TEK Fuzion and Swiftech Apogee GT. I have purchased the D-TEK Fuzion but have not installed it yet. On my E6600, I'm running at 3.33GHz 24x7 with idle temp of 36C and load temps of 51C with board temps of 37C and ambient temp of 30-31C (read no aircon). This is with the Storm Waterblock. I bet the D-Tek Fuzion will give me better temps. But am waiting for quad-core before pulling my tubing apart. drool.gif drool.gif

Basically - every component plays a part in the WC loop - waterblock, pump, radiator, radiator fans and coolant. You can use the best block with a poor pump and get poor performance. And if you do decide to go the WC path - get a good spacious case.

Most people who gave up water cooling probably went with TT and gave up on WC because the new aircoolers with heatpipes (using WC principles in a way) are great. But with a proper WC setup ... the differences are obvious. And WC looks great when configured properly.

If you're going for a kit - then swiftech will be hard to beat. But if you truly want performance, go for mix and match. More expensive but can't be beat.

My loop hardly needs maintenance and have not even topped up the water in the last 14 months. If you then throw in GPU and chipset cooling - WC makes the best sense. thumbup.gif
