I'm working as an Engineer here on the Metro Project.
Pay is good, enough for a luxury life here. But this is subjective and depends on individuals....
My luxury could be your norm, and could be ridiculous for others, so it really depends.
I'd say what i earn here will allow me to live my life 3 times better than in KL.

Been working in financial services, currently in foreign bank.

writting business case, credit review and analysis.

guess it would hard for me to explore to vietnam aik with banking experience.

There are tons of banks here. But i'm not familiar with this field. So no lubang for u.
Even in my line of work, there's no vacancy for expats

Nah, not planning to learn. Not a very useful language outside Vietnam.
I don't plan to be here for very long, planned for 2 years, hopefully can be shorter than that.

I work in HCM for 10 years already .....huhuhu

Yet i still cant speak Viet lol and i got another colleague he was here 15 years also cant speak....really fail expat

10 years ago and now i can say that HCM really different .... still remember the cheap days where fast food is luxury, no Facebook, crappy 3G and i had to keep on realod my phone to make calls back to Malaysia, only 2-3 shopping malls, single lane road. If CNY you gonna cook maggi mee as everything off. Paying and accepting USD instead of VND. Everyday power cut because not enough electricity

That's quite a drastic change then. I suppose life is much more bearable now?

I feel that food is still fairly cheap compared to KL.
