I was a 2018 STPM student in science stream . Unfortunately , my STPM result is not so good . I want to continue study in degree in TESL but my result seems like cannot be accept to any university .

I got Band 4 for my MUET . But for my STPM result is B+ for Pengajian Am , F for Mathematics T , D for Chemistry and C- for Biology .

I hope someone can help me . I dont mind going private university . But im so worried about my result . I already did some survey on some private university by e-mail and they said that they wont accept me with those result .

find something u like and do foundation level first

No private University in Malaysia is going to admit you directly into their Bachelors Degree level program with your STPM result.
Minimum requirement set by the Government is CGPA 2.00 with pass in Pengajian Am.

Just repeat the STPM as a private candidate and just take 3 subjects.... its cheaper that way than wasting money with 'foundation' program...

Suggest you to retake your STPM and see how it goes.

Repeat STPM or do Foundation lah. I think UTAR will accept.

either u retake STPM or go Diploma first

based on your STPM result, no point redo STPM and I dont think going to change much. go for Diploma and study hard so that you can proceed to degree after diploma.

Repeat STPM/Foundation for RM 5-8k.
You would be surprised how some unis, sponsor students full scholarship with good Pre-U Foundation Results.

Cheapest option i think is to resit your STPM.

Or you can go and do a diploma/foundation course of your choice. But pricey abit lo.

If wanna go for bachelor degree, memang can't cuz u dun meet the minimum requirement set by MoHE.

Honestly speaking, the government dont give a shit about muet. I had 2.67 cgpa on stpm with muet band 5 but i didnt get offered with anything.....

even with muet band 2, but with good pointer also can get place in local university...

Yes you can change to art stream. PA is compulsory.

only have 2 choice la for you. eaither 1) retake stpm as private candidate or 2) go for foundation/diploma. diploma in tesl maybe?

can try to go for :
- foundation (1 year)
- fast track diploma (1 year, last time TAR UC still have this, but now no more)

Realistically, cGPA 1.5 w/ Band 4 MUET is a severe limiting factor for you. Perhaps consider technical skills that align to your interest? (apprenticeship)

my CGPA 1.9x
none Public uni accepted even tho i have 2 Pass and 2 partial pass subject
(from here, i fucuk public UNI)

few Privates due accept if you meet requirement (luckily my private uni accept because dont require the CGPA, only the subject)
