There is no way to auto uncheck. Best way is remember to logout after using the computer. In public computer, i clear the cookies after each session of using.

Thanks for your opinion, but i know this way too...QUOTE(imperialrealcs @ Jun 20 2007, 09:22 PM) I know is not so hard. What i mean here is can the "remember me" check box uncheck by default when want to login? so that people who often use public pc to visit lowyat.net no need "so" worry abt the logout problem. |

I agree that this auto-check for "Remember me" can be troublesome, especially to those who are not so IT-savvy. Also, some may be too forgetful to un-check it in public PC.
Personally, I experienced this before in my uni's PC but luckily nothing bad happened and the system would reset upon restart. Anyway, it's up to the staffs and mods to decide what's the best for all but I would prefer to have it removed. This post has been edited by kimhoong: Jun 22 2007, 09:44 PM |

I voted for uncheck too. Human by default are careless and forgetful.
Especially when they are already used with their own computer and never bother about that checkbox. |

My suggestion, why not? Make the users choose permanently from the setting after log in. So next time when the user log in, it is auto for him.

Sorry, but this just woudn't be possible. If we do turn off the auto-check feature, then i bet there will be a thread asking for it to be turned back on by default as well.
Just remember to untick it if you're using a public PC. It really just that one extra click. |
