Rice, the staple carb of choice for Malaysians. A stroll along the aisles in supermarkets, and you'll be greeted with rows and rows of different types of rice, in different packaging, screaming all kinds of goodness!

So which one is your favorite.... and more importantly, why?

For me, i favor white rice (the unpolished brown rice feels tasteless) and fragrant. Currently I am using Sunwhite Fragrant rice, like the image below:

Always wanted to try calrose rice, but not sure how to prep and whether it goes well with local dishes!

Alright, lets carry on with the discussion. Which is your fav rice, and why?

Gooding it is! But it is best paired with biryani, and don't quite go well with other local dishes. And the price is on the more expensive side. If tak habis makan, sayang!

I stay apart from my family so i go back and eat once a week. Never ask what brand my mom uses but it's kinda slightly sticky white rice mixed with brown rice (definitely not nasi dagang ok!), i heard it's diabetic rice for my dad. Quite chewy though, goes well with stir fry and curry as well. You can see in the picture below, mine is without the black one.
