For me personally, it’s easier to buy a Samsung because of their reliability and after sales service which I have personally experienced. That said the Huawei devices I’ve owned before didn’t have any problems either but I’d agree with some earlier postings that you’d get some minor bugs here and there occasionally.

Huaweis SC also pretty awesome. They change a new unit for me just because i told them my whatsapp notification is delayed. And i want a new unit.

Bcoz you had the set display-> sleep to 30sec

but when you move...say you place it near your ears while talking it goes blank...but the link is still on, right (you can continue to talk)....when you pull the phone out, the display should be auto on from sleep

hmmm so...whats the problem you been facing?
*
Whats the problem? I am in a video call. I put my phone facing me on table. While on the video call then screen dims and locks.

Screen off = no video

You could have off "run in background". Click App, battery usage detail, check Run in background is on.
If still not work, backup all all chat and media, uninstall and reinstall.
*
Thanks.

Its enabled tho. Will try and see. Uninstall and reinstall is nxt step.

hmmm...i see, let me try to simulate later. For the interim, just increase the screen sleep time to 10min then.
*
Thats an alternative too, but not really what i would do.

Thanks for suggestion

A question: is the lens protector necessary?
*
I think it wouldnt hurt to have. But make sure its decent quality and doesny blur the images taken.

I havent gotten myself a piece because i change phones way too quick

but I heard the Huawei performance still lose to Samsung?

I still dun dare to buy the mate20pro yet
*
maybe i share here and see what others think. ppl like attw has vast experience in OS hence can give better input as well but this is own personal input, if u butthurt, pls refrain from replying. not meant for u lol

1. Huawei's touch screen is less sensitive vs samsung. Something i noticed immediately after switching over entirely. Not a bad thing, just takes some time to adjust
2. Huawei's battery tend to last longer even if both on level playing field (4000mah vs 4000mah). I favor huawei in this aspect. i dare to leave everything on (location, sync, etc.) on my m20p, but when i am on samsung, i automatically turn off location
3. Huawei's camera is easier to use. More for the dummies that point and shoot (like me). I tend to get better shots with huawei vs samsung. photos turn out nicer somehow lol
4. Samsung's UI is way smoother and more fluid - personal preference
5. Samsung has an edge in terms of "facilities". Spen, spay etc.

In conclusion - both are great, depends on which u prioritize. for me, at this very moment, i want camera and battery. hence my choice for m20p.

but.... buntut kinda gatal now, browsing around at s10p laugh.gif

I don't play games so to me those benchmark numbers in performance don't matter that much. Besides, it's been so long since I last encountered any lag on the Android phones I've tried. Even the mid-range ones.
Nice summary bro! Agree with you on most, though I will add on the camera part - Huawei's selfies a bit difficult for me to accept laugh.gif
*
too much digital makeup? lol

huawei selfies are out of this world. makes me look like those chinadolls with heavy make up. flawless skin etc.

For Item 4, I think vice versa for me, I feel Huawei more responsive. No worry I'm not any fans, so long are Samsung , Huawei, xiaomi or apple, but not oppo and vivo lol
*
kekekeke. hence i stated there 'personal preference' to avoid butthurt ahahahaha

but well yeah. sammy has shit load of animation. i usually turn it off via developer options. maybe thats why i say that. biggrin.gif

My last Huawei was a P20 Pro... this is what I felt about the Selfie...

[attachmentid=10219859]

Just for laughs ya, please don't report me biggrin.gif
I think day to day use, most Droids with 4GB RAM don't lag these days, bro. I had no problems with the last 3  mid-range phones I tried recently... Mi A1, Redmi 5 Plus, and Zenfone Max Pro M1. The last two even only had 3GB RAM. For that we have to give Google credit for how far Android has come since the days of Samsung's TouchWiz...

Means no fix for this and can only fix by change the screen right? Anyone here got experience this before? Or it’s because of the 1st batch problem?
*
Its cause demo set is on for long periods. 10am - 10pm everyday, 7 days a week. U dont do that on ur own device. Unlikely will get such burns. But i think if got, and under warranty period, shouldnt be an issue. Go claim.

Not only huawei. Any amoled screen. Samsung ke huawei ke iphone ke. Hence u realize your always on display, the clock moves. So this wont happen..
