Which network provider she uses?

Have you tried setting up the correct APN? (shown below is example for Yoodo line)

Another question is whether is she subscribed to any Internet plan in the first place? (I know this sounds stupid, just wanna cover all possible causes)

What if you try putting your mum's sim card in your phone?

If it does have Internet, means not the sim problem. Else, then could be sim issue.

Edit: Below is the screenshot of my APN settings. Since Yoodo is under Celcom, should be the same. Hope it helps.

I wanted to update my Mate 20 to EMUI 10 but the download bar stuck at 0%, not sure why.

Anyone experience same issue?

If really want to use Huawei, sure.

But do note it's almost a 2 years old model.

Funionality wise, my Mate 20 is still great.

Still good battery life.

Managed to get 3 hours SOT from 100% - 80% on dual sim mobile data.

Been using EMUI 10.1 for 1 day. (Updated yest)

Yup, call recording feature doesn't work, so I downloaded third party call recorder app. Not as good as native call recorder feature but at least got some call recording function.

No random app crashes yet.

Battery life I feel as similar as before.

Will continue monitor.

Your Mate 20 how many years dy?

I also plan to change my Mate 20 batt, but so far I think the battery still ok though 1 year 7 months dy.

So an update on using EMUI 10.1 on Mate 20 after few days.

No weird app crashes or lag.

Battery life almost similar as before.

Overnight battery drain is zero!

I would recommend Grenify.

Been using this app with my previous phones, really helped with reducing overnight battery drains.
