i order my lense for replacement already, will be arriving within 2-3 wks. i asked around sg wang las wknd regarding this issue, to my amazement one shop actually told me this got nothing to do with the lense. it was because of a locking mechanism in the system that will lock the system after several useage of *ahem* product.

in my case, *ahem* dvd.

i google bout this lock mechanism, but found nothing. anybody heard bout ps3 lock system due to *ahem* product?

i used to have high respect for that shop because the owner one time ago told me how to identify good ps2 controller form the bad one. and the method he told me actually works. so i have the impression this shop is an honest one.

i didnt actually believe him when he told me regading the locking mechanism but for the sake of looking, just try cari at google lah

so can pre - 0rder games now already

but the one i bought from his shop actually last longer. untill 3rd yr still working fine. before that i've been buying dualshock on a monthly basis hehe..

you so lucky lah, i try to ask help from GH to assist me with handling it to be sent to HK. Maybe they have contact lah, i'll even pay for it, but they can't. They bought it from another supplier, not directly from HK. I understand that lah.

I ask around all the courier company, 600++ pegi balik, inclusive of them retreive it from svc ctr in HK and sent it back to me. To make matter worst, svc ctr in HK wont accept couriered parcel

so purchase lense, ask fren to fix it for me lah. there goes my warranty

on another interesting note, i'd like to share a part of conversation i had with the HK svc ctr.

Me : Don't you want to check my warranty first?

HK : The PS3 is not out a year yet, it is stil under warranty sir.

i asked svc ctr normally how long it takes to fix, less than a week actually
