Hey 1 of my fren got a ORI JP version GT4 (not asia version which is in Chinese word) and he want to know whether he can play them on the Asia version PS3? He is going to buy a PS3 but he heard from the salesman that Asia machine cant play JP PS2 game.

So any answer? He dun want to waste his PS2 ori game......any of u ppl tried putting in JP PS2 game in a Asia PS3 and can play pls speak out.

NTSC/J ps1 & ps2 games (from jpn, hk, twn, korea) are backwards compatible with NTSC/J asian ps3.

but certain games have problems with backwards compatibility - i think the sony site should have info on that.

darn another thing. i jus found out i updated my asia console using the US ipdate file instead of the asia version!!! cause is seems diff region diff files? OMG. but its working alright.. should i be worried the next update?

um i think no diff?i might be wrong though...IIAMN its only the extension .sumthing is diff..if its still working then dont worry so much

hmmm i think so too. but the conditions on their website states if u didnt purchase it frm north america thn hv to download frm respective sites.. hmm

another think if SG or HK console. how u know where the ps3 came frm. ?

your box should have if you throw that d den behind the ps3 got sticker i think stating come from where

sticker on the ps3 is jus the serial number.. the box wrote HK5.. does tat mean its HK version? if SG? will it be SG5? lol can anyone confirm this thanks?

another thing would be like my ps3 controller sotimes lose control of itself. like the ps3 and controller DC or somthin like my character in ressitence will jus spin by itself.. thn after awhile i resume control.. anyone? wats the prob here? i am very near the console..

tats the prob. i didnt. i downloaded it through pc thn using MSPD i upload to my ps3.. but i searched for both files the file size is exactly the same. so hopefully np there.

since i already buying ps3 and most likely to register in playstation store but ive didnt have credit cards i like to ask some would share games that being purchased from Playstation Store i.e Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection.
