Im still happy using Mate 20 Pro, maybe im more comfortable with Mate series than P series. Either wait for Mate 30 X / Pro, or wait for price drop below 2600 for used set. That 50x zoom or snap picture in complete darkness are only will be use very few times which is not that practical to me.

My one within 7 days already got green tint issue. Scare getting worst and no guarantee it wont happen again when I returned that time. Despite that Mate 20 Pro is very good phone to own.

Cant really comment on P30 yet. Lol...... Mate 20x is very good phone for me now.

I have watch the screen comparison at unboxtheraphy youtube , the pro BOE screen beats the Samsung's P30.
Not all Oled display produced by Samsung are the same or the best. Only sure thing is , Samsung reserved its best for its own flagships.

There is no denying China is weakest in semi conductors. Made in China 2025 is meant to address this issue and sudah start already. The issue is not 3 or 5 or 10 years behind , but rather where a country economic and industrial  policy is guided to. The political will over anything else and the people's dynamism counts a lot too.

If you check around , the Nikkei Asian Review is almost  always anti China , although not related to my first paragraph.

Broadcom proposed acquisition of Qualcomm at approx USD 120 billion is blocked by the White House , citing national security concern. It could be unfounded , and even if it is true , the alleged China backed Broadcom if successful , still have to take lots of risks and plenty of hard work to do in the years ahead. All the research and hardwork are carry-out in US soil and I am sure big big majority of employees are Americans too and is also sure to be under lots of spying and supervision by the US Govt. Under this circumstances , one wonder why the US Govt is still nervous.
The US , supposingly , the mightiest country on our planet is citing National Security concern on every corners and turns. One can argue ,the White House had refused Americans the opportunity to face and take challenges even on its own soil.

At present ,the US is  fearful and getting really nervous by the weeks , of losing its primacy to China and semiconductors is about the last hold and advantage it has over China and also knowing China is still weak in this field of expertise, the White House has to effect the block . But many believed , China's weakest link in this technology field will soon be overcome by the Chinese themselves.

Asian Nikkei Review is ever willing to be the mouthpiece for the US. Japan has the same reason as its masters  for feeling nervous about China's seemingly unstoppable advance.

I got mine from SenQ Alamanda Putrajaya. No one lineup at all. The gifts is much better than long queue at Pavilion or Mid Valley. The breathing crystal color is absolute amazing.

Any recommendations for P30 Pro screen protector that does not reduce/obstruct the finger print sensor? Heard of mobile outfitters clear coat, is it good? Any one using & any effect on the finger print sensor? Or any others?

Received P30 pro for my wife yesterday. I used Mate 30 Pro and then Mate 20x. Feel that P30 Pro bit smaller hahaha since get used to Mate 20x now. Screen resolution usuallay set to lowest HD+.

I feel that P30 Pro settings much lesser as compare to Mate. Could be it still new and it is EMUI 9.1. After upgrade to the 124 firmware, the google assistant was launch whenever you need to press start/off button to reboot. You need press little bit longer than the "restart" and "power off" menu only pop up. It is quite annoying because you can't totally disable the google assistant. It still pop up to ask you to enable it whenever you press the startup button.

Besides that "show step count" unable to disable in lockscreen page or YET to be able to do that.
