I went to Q Windows the other day and saw their aluminum entrance door and window solutions. Their windows are as I expected but I also like their Entrance Door.

Just curious if anyone has installed Q Windows Entrance door. It is b quite expensive though. The door for my house is going to be more than 10k!

Qwindows with office in Damansara Perdana right? Has installed the window (not door) at my house, a landed property with occasional exposure to mat rempits on weekend. Close it and never heard them anymore.

Totally recommended although a bit expensive because the double layer glass. The build is similar to Germany, I like the tilt function too.

Ya. Thanks. I like the double glazed windows. Will be terribly expensive for me as my house is 3 1/2 storey of glass! I am considering doing the entrance door plus road facing windows.

BTW do you feel the house is cooler after installing q windows? Noise and cooling are important to me. Not so for security

I had my whole house done up with Q-Windows but did not do the door. This one was done from the onset during the renovations. Difficult to say whether it made any difference as I had other measures to keep the house cool. However in terms of noise there is a noticeable difference between the windows closed and open.

Also gifted my mum's house with Q-Windows for the front and rear as front has LRT track and rear is the LDP. LRT track is less than 50m away. This one was a retrofit. She did say the electric bill went down after the windows were replaced by around 20% especially during this hot season when the air conditioners are turned on a lot more. Noise levels? She can't hear the LRT any longer especially the maintenance ones that goes along the line at the wee hours of the morning. Traffic noise from the LDP? Barely audible after you turn on the air conditioning. In fact these days one of the problems is can't hear whenever someone is at the gate.

Personally, I think it is most useful for bedroom windows where you will notice the drop in noise levels especially in the late nights.

Ok thanks! I will likely do tinting for the whole house using 3M film. If I do q windows it will cost a bomb and my primary objective is reduced heat only. But will get them to quote anyway ...
