 Do you get your newborn checked for hearing?, My cousin is having a baby soon

If govt hospital (including FPP patients), after giving birth, they will give you an appointment date to go for hearing test. According to the instruction list given to us, it has to be done before baby is one month old. Apparently the earlier the detection of any issue with baby's hearing, the better chance of intervention.

Maybe ppl who follow up at KKIA during pregnancy can get this screening too?
Check with your local KKIA.

I don't think it will be exp to do at private hospital. It's just a tool to put on baby's temple, then a computer screen to show pass or not. No medication except gel and 5 minutes done.

Don't skip this. My cousin, his parents didn't know he's deaf until he's already a few years old.
