Like topic, anyone tried buying games from U.S. PSN store before?
Can Public Bank Visa/Master card use for the purchase?
And is there any extra charges on purchasing the games from the store? Because I heard that buying games from U.S. store are charging taxes.
Hope to hear some experience from you guys biggrin.gif

Malaysian credit cards cannot be used to directly purchase games from US PSN store.
It will give an error during the verification $1 charge by Sony.

This might have changed now, but you can try it first and see if it works for your credit cards.

What I did instead, is to purchase top up PlayStation Store Gift Card [Digital Code] from USA Amazon.com account using Malaysian credit card, but set the Amazon account default billing to USA address.

Depending on the billing address, most US states are charging taxes on the Gift Card/PSN membership but some states are tax free, so just set your Amazon billing account to an address in these tax-free states.

Yeah I saw that post too, but seems like dead now, and I also think that not much ppl will buy games besides MY store.

I saw shopee has some nice deals for U.S. gift card, are they trustable?

I have tried selecting game and checking out by using Alaska as state, it doesn't has any tax on the game you purchase.

Just get psn cards from Amazon.com since they don't charge extra for them unlike re-sellers in shopee so you'll be paying US$1 for US$1 on amazon. Pretty sure you no longer require a US address to buy PSN cards from there now since my last 2 purchases didn't require it at all.

just go buy from Amazon, 100% safe

shopee or other online portal can be pretty dodgy, some are selling the gift cards purchased with stolen CC

This is because the US PSN cards are not meant for sale outside US.
They will always show "Currently unavailable" because auto detect the delivery location is Malaysia.

If you login with your Amazon account and your saved address is US, then it is available.

Hey guys, sorry for asking stuff again.

Does Paypal work on U.S. Store? Because many people said that if using MY credit card directly on U.S. store it won't work. So does using MY credit card on Paypal and link to U.S. store work? Because I would like to try the 14 days free trial PS Plus on U.S. store, and also because I would like to buy the game with the exact amount like what I did when buying games in MY store without funding the wallet.

anyone knows if there is any local bank allow us to put US address as billing address to circumvent this problem
i want to buy something on steam restricted to US citiziens only and it reject credit card from outside, i already try using steam credits but also not working.
Some report said using credit card bill to american address should do it.
