hihi

Am lookin for 195/60R15 tyre for my new persona vvt.

thinking of grabbing the michelin primacy 4 during lazada sale at around 236 each.

but before I do, just want to ask about opinion when comparing to ps3 or other brands, is primacy 4 a good choice when I am looking for

1. comfort n quetness
2. safety

thanks

Of course, it is good, it is a performance tire.
1)Comfort and quietness? very good, because treadwear is 2xx, thus the tire is quite soft but the con is that you can not use it for many years. Maybe after 2 years it will become botak.
2)Safetly. It is an asymmetric tire. Thus it has a very damn good road grid no matter in cornering, wet surface, or any. Indeed.

For this size Michelin only got the XM2, very old tyre.
You can go for cheaper Conti CC6 and Triplemax 2, both are quite nice.

Ya, am aware of that. If got with PS3 it will be 195/55R15, abit thinner than primacy 4

the stock tyre size for that car is 185/55R15.

wouldn't it scrape the fender when you go over bumps if you change to a 195/60R15 tyre?

I suggest that you change to a 195/55R15 tyre instead. but you can get PS3 instead of Primacy 4

Primacy 4 usually for larger sizes, 195/55 or 50/15 you can try asking for PS3 instead. I think King of Rims in Section 15 got stock PS3 for that size, around RM230 I think when my friend went there few months ago

Other good tyre for comfort & long lasting try search for Turanza. I feel both Primacy 4 & turanza nearly same comfort & performance, but now I migrate to PS4. Very good performance in dry & wet but not comfort & low noise like Primacy(before this) next want to try find Turanza Serenity Plus

Well michelin malaysia website says it has 15 inch for primacy 4. They brought it in quietly a few months after the primacy 4 launch. Currently using ps3, but the wear rate is killing me... lolol

PS4 the best grip both on dry & wet. Primacy & Turanza nearly same performance but lower grip on wet, overall nearly like PS3.

I just installed Primacy 4 in 225/45R16 after Cinturato P7. It’s a bit more comfort and quieter. It also has less road feel (not unexpected). The aquaplaning is actually quite bad. So you need to be careful when driving over puddle in higher speed. Otherwise driving around town is great!

Note that the tyre size I got only comes in 94W loading. I was told that it will have slightly stronger side wall but minimal or no impact on the ride.

In summary, P7 for slightly better handling and fuel efficiency. Primacy 4 for slightly better comfort but less a little in handling and fuel efficiency department. The aquaplaning is also not very good. We are talking minor differences between the two as both are within the same category of touring tyres (not like jumping between UHP or touring)

I am happy with the Primacy 4 for my Golf to be driven around town.

i am driving Acv30..consider big car...i guess too soft tyre not good...
only thing is P7 is old model. no new model is released...maybe low demand except new car original fitted w P7 by manufacture...

If you want something similar to Primacy 4 for quietness with stronger sidewall to reduce the floatiness then Bridgestone T005 is also a good touring tyre choice and also better price in Malaysia (it is actually the same price or more expensive than Primacy 4 in Australia).

P7 may be launched few years ago but is actually quite good. It’s also lightweight and reduce the fuel consumption compared to Primacy 4. With most lightweight tyres there is a slightly higher probability to get lumps. Btw Primacy 4 has thin side wall but the overall tyre is quite heavy I think the tread is hard and dense.

Hey mate, I've just installed the same on my Golf too, can you share more of your experience please? I can still hear some noise while driving, anyway to improve this? I might have missed something..
