Which DSLR would u guys recommend for a budget around RM2k in 2019?
Really wanna up my photography game and also making videos during my holidays.
I know i shouldn't be greedy and want so much for my budget but i wanna get something like an all rounder to start off with.

What i have in mind currently is the Canon 200D(Rebel SL2) for its Dual Pixel AutoFocus and also the 2nd hand Nikon D5600, dont wanna get the D3500 cause no articulating screen and also mic port for videos/vlogs.
Any better cameras you sifus out there would recommend? i dont mind mirrorless but i heard mirrorless cameras cant fit a lot of lenses without an adapter right?

Depends on what you want, RM 2k you can go for used stuff and expectations don't set so high la.

Canon EOS 200D is a good start.

well you can consider the new fujifilm x-a3 or the x-a5
one of the best budget ILC you can get IMHO.

I assume u know how to up ur game cause getting new dslr with kit lens and setting to auto won't get u far from smartphone camera.

Also, u seem to misunderstand something about mirror less adaptibility. Yes u need an adapter if u want to adapt DSLR lens to mirror less. But u can't do the opposite. With mirror less and the right adapter u can mount more lens including oldie lens (except lens designed for mirror less) than dslr due to shorter flange.

Depending on usage, I would choose:

D5600 if mainly using for photos and least videos, it has one of the best sensor and still picture AF in its category.

200D if mainly using for vlogs and least photos, like you said it has the dual pixel AF, which is market leading technology for vlogs.

Mirrorless is easier for traveling due to size and weight, it has many lenses too but not as cheap as entry level DSLR lenses, in this case I would suggest the next thing after getting a DSLR with kit lens is the cheap 50mm lens.
