Guys, dont mean to hijack the thread but does anyone have any good (or bad) experience with this Samsung "push/pull" system?

QUOTE(Snoy @ Apr 4 2019, 12:03 PM) For Samsung push/pull lock, it's safer to get it from local supplier but the price is significantly higher. Thanks for the tip, the unit should come with some kind of warranty.... so likely i will get it locally. Unless we are talking about 50% price difference...There are many cheaper "imported set" but the risk is the pull/push direction may be incompatible with Malaysian's door. Please make sure you check this. And there are also higher risk of faulty mainboard in older model... not sure the new one. |

QUOTE(Snoy @ Apr 4 2019, 03:36 PM) I hope the video is in English. Actually its a toss up for me between Samsung and Yale. Ofcourse Yale is more famous for their locks (I even have a yale safe)...From what I understood, they use some sorts of EMP device to disrupt digital lock circuit. It's up to whether the lock will default to "unlock" state after being disrupted to "reboot" or "in faulty state". The success rate is still unknown for every digital lock. I may consider to buy a unit for testing later. :-) Thank you for sharing. Please google around. It may still be possible with more than 50% off for imported unit of some models. Although mine is not Samsung, but I got my gateman at 30% price of what Yale Malaysia is charging. similar front but different back module. But the Push/Pull looks to be... user friendly to me... No idea how the two brands compare, would you have any tips/thoughts on them? |

QUOTE(Snoy @ Apr 4 2019, 05:20 PM) Yale digital locks in Malaysia are re-branded from Gateman Korean. Oh, i didnt know that.Don't be surprise if the Yale Malaysia and Yale USA digital locks are incompatible. Essentially, we are comparing two Korean brands here, Samsung vs Gateman (Yale Malaysia). Of course, Yale version has some customized versions for Malaysia market like cylindrical and grille types but the core is still Korean. I don't have a Samsung digital lock... no comment about its robustness. I'm using a Gateman Z10-IH for some years and it has never given any single problem... not even once. Of course, your mileage may differ. Does Yale malaysia comes with decent warranty? Otherwise I can buy Yale form US, i go there at least 3 times a year anyway, can bring back a few set of locks hehehe |
