This I kind of agree. Spend all the money and keep owing them money. Then die of a sudden death....no need to pay.

Higher limit won't affect anything, as long as you paid in full each month.

Get as many high limit credit card as you can.

One day, if you need to lari to Vietnam or somewhere. Withdraw max the card before you lari.

when it comes to credit, spend within your limit. that is all.
credit limit only helps in case you really need to spend big to pay something urgently.

btw, alot of ppl are misinformed about ccris. ccris does not do any credit rating. it just gather all the loans and credit card you have and provides a report. when it comes to rating, credit agency like ctos is the one who will give the rating. banks often have own rating but they also will check credit agency rating for comparison.

Citibank has increased twice for my credit limit
However, my spending is very minimum as usual

Just curious, if the credit limit keep increase but i never utilize, does it affect my ccris or anything negative to my credit score?

Risk when cars stolen or card info leak, I had a MasterCard that has been used twice by somebody else, fucking bank leak my info. After the first time I reissue my card after a year of not collecting that card, it's being used again, card still with bank now tell me who is the criminal?

I don't want the limit to be too high as if u unable to proof u aren't the person using it, u had to pay.

i just succesfully increased my limit prrmanently from 5000 to 7500.

reason is because i had to buy a lot of furniture for my new home. EPP 0% installment is a convenience, but it will reduce your credit limit.

in US, having higher credit limit is good because their rating system got something called "credit utilization". the lower your percentage is better. but in malaysia our ctos and ccris do not care for that. they only look at payment habit and outstanding balance.

just my 2 cents.

For me it's good, the balance transfer option between banks are one of the lowest rates you can get if you need to borrow money.

I got 4 credit cards:

HSBC - 75K limit
Citibank - 65K limit
Maybank - 35K limit
CIMB 16K limit

Total Credit Card owing today RM0.

I agree that as long as you do not overspend your credit card and know how to control. The Higher the better....

to reply your question

it's good to have single card which have high credit limit

good for business trip usage. - my 3 weeks business trip can cost up to RM60k

in the end .. as long as you never have any outstanding balance ..then it's good

high credit limit better.
I used to travel for work frequently last time.
higher limit comes in handy when I need to pay for hotel, meals etc in advance before company reimbursement. or sometime i organize event where I need to pay in advance for my friends. no need to fork out own cash for it.
besides, if you have the right discipline in your spending. why worry?

my principle is, i only spend for what I have. Credit card is only for convenience, its NOT my actual spending power.
