i think they mean the exact room number like which block etc... that one you will only know once you register at the kolej kediaman...

guys... finally the final's exam result is out... check through SMP...

haha... the lecturers "revenge" back on your result or what?

ya, it's really difficult to concentrate even without crazy friends around... most of the time, my mind will wander to other place during the lecture... haha

overall is still ok... but, the result of my minor subject is not that good...

*sigh* it's getting harder to increase the CGPA... really need to work hard already in the coming semester...

going back to umskal next saturday... yeah, i'm getting bored with the holiday as well...

UMSKAL are badly affected by the water problem in labuan... everyday need to carry up piles of water to the hostel... will last till september... guys, appreciate and save water!!!!!! pity those first year juniors... first day arrived at labuan already no water...

if i carry average 4 - 5 piles of water up to 3rd floor everyday, is that considered lazy to carry water??? and mind you, water is not available 24/7 everyday... imagine if you're stomach ache at midnight, need to go to toilet and have no water... and now all the hostels blackout... some units already blackout for one whole night till now... this should be the worst semester so far....

are you serious you don't know how to go there? fly directly from penang to kk by airasia. but they only have 1 flight daily and if i'm not mistaken, it's at night. or you can fly from penang to kl then take another flight from kl - kk (which have few flights per day). there will be seniors waiting at the airport. i think your orientation should start at 5th july. wait for your offer letter or i think you can download it at somewhere online. do some research!

there will be a group of seniors (orientation facilitators) waiting at the airport. you'll see them at the arriving hall. you'll need to do some registration at there then there will be UMS buses that fetch you to the campus. they will drop you off at your respective hostel (the so called kampung A, B, C, D and E), depend on which hostel they assigned you to (the info is in your offer letter). Kampung E is the newest hostel but is it also the most far away from dewan canselor that you have to walk to during some activities during orientation.

i don't really remember when they will be there. the exact info should be all in the offer letter you'll receive very soon. IF the orientation start at 5th july, they might already there at 3rd or 4th (since some students coming early). you don't have to worry for your arriving time since they'll be there for every domestic flight arriving at the airport.

yes, you'll need to go for medical check up. not sure if it can be considered a full body check up, but they did do urine test though. can do it at government or private one if i'm not mistaken. but, you still need to wait for the offer letter since all the forms you need to fill in, including the check up is in there. before this, you can download all those documents online as well since there will be some people who might receive their offer letter late or might not receive it at all.

this is because this thread is more to a platform for newbie to ask question once a year instead of being a platform for all current or ex or future students to discuss about UMS.

i hope the water problem at there will improve after you guys go back. wonder how this year new student enrolment is going to be. guess there must be some drop.

but it seems to have very few new students in here this year. it used to be very happening in the past 3 years at this time.

looking back, time passed so freaking fast. this thread was opened by tajinder when i was still a newbie preparing for orientation. i'm old d!!! anyway, you guys will have a great time at KK or around sabah. good luck guys!!!

yup, they abolished the system during my time (around 3 - 4 years back). and now it's available again starting from last year.
