Yes, each visit for each card needs to spend RM 500. Per transaction, else they can't differentiate I guess. Anyway, wait for others to reply you because I no longer hold any Ambank cards.

Penang PPL menu was changed in June (refer below).
Since changing menu, I had entered 3-4 times (last entrance was 2-3 weeks ago), I would say it is quite good.

It stated 8 times per year - I did not read it state the 8 times are combine or separate. I assume apply to each card separately (Principle and Supplementary)

You are encouraged to travel more internationally. Domestic travel is lame now

but previously overseas lounge access is nil..

To me, 8 visits to a wide range of lounges us better than unlimited to only one airport....

You can consider getting an unlimited PP or LK, so that you can also enjoy lounge when flying home.

Unfortunately, Citi PM wasn't too useful for majority here.
I will say the pros has outweigh the cons.

1) Amex Platinum (AF RM3250) - unlimited PP
2) Citi Prestige (AF RM1k) - unlimited LK
3) SCB Priority VI (RM250k FD) - unlimited LK
