Another 1/2months it will become stable hopefully.

Btw, so far the lowest requirement for lounges access was AEON credit card. Other than AEON, which cc you suggest?

Btw, AEON or others cc lounges access have any tnc or time limit?
*
AEON Platinum has 6x access

Went to PPL next to Aerotel gateway. Was informed that SCB's Worldmiles now only able to be used in Satellite Terminal. Used PB's VI and MBB World for both me and my spouse (domestic flight).

* I just rang Citi to confirm on PPL access with domestic flights with their revamped PremierMiles. And the answer is yes. Domestic flights now are eligible for PPL access
*
Yes SCB WorldMiles cannot be used to access landside lounges anymore, this is revised quite some time ago.

Premier Miles card holder here.

Citibank offer that if I pay the RM600 annual fee, in return they'll award 10,000 PremierMiles (not airmiles ya) and RM200 cash back

Told them that I'm not interested.

The lady then come back with counter offer - reduce to RM100 annual fee but need higher up approval.

RAISED my voice saying I'm busy, not interested, product is going downhill with UOB acquisition, don't like new UOB credit card....

Gave her the ultimatum on the phone - can you waive the fee in FULL?!! The lady put me in pause for 5 secs and said my annual is fully waived

Still boiling thinking back this conversation
*
For my case they only waived RM500 for me. Sigh should have insisted.

Seems like it is for the Amex Platinum or M2C Amex Reserve only. Nice thanks for the information! Been wanting to try the food from Shang Palace.

Went to the PPL in T1 the other day. Food options very less. But very few people most probably because its a weekday.

Wonder PBB Visa Signature still a good card for lounges or not.
*
I only have it for the cash back though. If I am not wrong, PBB cards only gives you access to Malaysia lounges.

Many lounges died with Covid. Including the PPL at Gateway, Wellness Spa at international departure KLIA2, Flight Club, MH Golden Lounges in BKI and KCH.
*
Even those who survived covid like the one in klia2 the quality is not like what it was before covid already.

Quite a nice lounge....much better than the old tired PPL...

It's a "new" chain, apparently parent company is based on UK. Only lounges in India and Malaysia at the moment. BKI first one, KCH second, planning one each in KLIA and KLIA2 international departure.

Currently only contract with MH, and walk in (RM160, not sure how many will be willing to pay that). Trying to negotiate with banks.

Looks like PPL has a new competitor.

Looks really nice. I hope they can serve as a wake up call for PPL. Their quality has been going downhill ever since MCO was lifted.

The new one. Most CC don't enable to enter.
*
Do you know which card is able to enter the new PPL at KLIA contact pier? If my gate is at gate G, it should be at the contact pier right? Not at the satellite building?

Edited: Just checked. Basically HSBC Premier Travel, HSBC VS, Citibank PM, CIMB TWE. These should be able to.

had a lounge hopping at BKK airport last weekend

- Miracle first class lounge (Concourse D)
- Coral first class lounge (Concourse D)
- Turkish airlines lounge (Concourse D)
- Oman air first class lounge (Concourse E)
- Air France KLM Skylounge (Concourse F)

Personally i think coral lounge is the best. nicely designed, capacious with many private dining area. Food is good. Shower facility. The bonus is you can get complimentary head and shoulder massage

Miracle just like our PPL, food limited and crowded.

Turkish lounge...lousy

Oman air lounge...limited middle east foods. environment ok.

Air France skylounge...bit run down but food is good

You have credit card that offers unlimited lounge access?

Someone arrives airport very earlier to visit and experience every lounges using his unlimited entry PP LK, that is his choice, unlimited PP LK are not coming free, he has to pay hefty AF and precious time to hop around, and the TNC of PP LK does not limit how many entry per day. PP and LK are not like those PPL credit cards can be easily obtained and "abused".
*
Yes I totally agree on this. If it is not violating the t&c, I do think it’s perfectly fine.

Do you really use that many in a year? If so, you can probably look at SC Worldmiles/Journey or Citi PM.
