Slightly OT.
Early morning flight from Changi without good connecting flight, hence have to arrive late the day before.
May I know what is the best choice to overnight in Changi, with SQ Business class ticket?
SilverKris lounge good for overnight?
Will try to explore "free" lounge before opting for paid airside room.
Thanks.

T3 should have some seat where u can sleep flat

Two months ago I choose aerotel at T1 to have a 6 hour sleep, not bad, worth the money

Thanks for your info.
How much is 6 hr aerotel?

Hmm... RM400 is on the high side.
Someone mentioned about $40 (maybe in USD, not SGD, but still much better than RM400).
Will try to explore more.

There’s a row of flat sofas at the back at the t3 lounge, can get blankets and pillow from the staff if you’re planning to sleep there.

Thanks for the update smile.gif

what credit card can bring guest to ppl free of charge
*
Officially, Amex - The Platinum Card, you can bring along a guest with you (with PP).

Unofficially, you can use your card to swipe for your guest.
You can use 2 cards (from different bank) to swipe in for both of you (most of the lounges accept this).

hi guys, I think asking ppl who have experience here would be quicker:

if I take AA/MH/SQ/Jetstar/Malindo to Changi from KUL, normally which terminal will it land?

and can I still access to the airside lounges when I land? TGM @ T2, PPL @ T1 or Blossom @ T4.

and which is the best to go if I land there around 8am~9am? TGM got good food for selection so early in the morning?

many thanks in advanced.
*
AirAsia - T4
MH/SQ - T1/2/3

If you land in T4, you can't go to T1/2/3 airside.
You may search for my reply earlier regarding crossing from T4 to T1/2/3 (maybe in V3).

Never try TGM breakfast, usually taking nice dinner there.
PPL standard food lo.
Blossom heard that not bad, seldom fly T4 recently.

what you mean is the only way to go T1/T2/T3 from T4 is using the internal shuttle?
so landing at T1/T2/T3 can access lounge, while T4 cannot? Even Blossom?
only departure at T4 can access Blossom?
*
T1/2/3 are interconnected, you can walk anywhere you like.
T4 is a separate terminal, only can access by internal shuttle (bus) once you are in airside.

Thank you. With this advice in mind, I will study further Changi map to understand better. Landside and airside is at different floor like KLIA2 or not?
What do you mean access by internal bus? You mean you can only go to other terminal airside by internal bus once you entered T4 airside?
*
In short, T4 is a substandard terminal, avoid if possible.
If your flight in T4, you can only check in from T4, and don't think of leaving to other terminals once you are inside (too troublesome, better enjoy your time in Blossom lounge).
If you land in T4, you have to leave straight.

T4 to T2 airside is via bus and they allow you to board if you have >2 hrs left before departure
*
I think is 2 hour before boarding, not departure.
T4 to T2 and back to T4, transit + waiting time alone is almost 1 hour.
It is not worth your hassle if you have exactly 2 hours (or even 3).
End up I was rushing for my meal in TGM, totally not enjoy the food.
I will suggest you to do so only if you have >4 hours.

hi sifu, what are the most 3 credit cards that can free access world wide lounge?
now i have free lounge to most malaysia lounge, think to have free lounge too when coming back from other country airport,  for example bangkok? vietnam?
*
MBB & AMB can access quite a number of lounges worldwide.
However, if you need more, you have to look into Priority Pass / Loungekey / Dragon Pass.
Refer to first page for more info.

according to GenX, they use Maybank 2 Cards Premier Reserve American Express to collect air miles, yea it is good, i am  eligible to apply also, but the member fee is too high and waiver only given for >80k/year spending(unable to reach).

Let say i am able to spend rm40,000/year on credit card...
what is the best card to collect airmiles for free flight?

currently using m2c platinum for collect points, while public VS for free lougue access
planning to get ambank wmc since the rm500 can use to top up boost for loungue access.
*
Refer my post below from another thread.
It is more appropriate to ask there.

QUOTE(charlesj @ Jul 15 2019, 03:04 AM)
Yes for Asiamiles, compare to ambank wmc/vi.
KF and EM will require more for M2 Plat.

However, Amb WMC/VI will offer you 5x points for overseas, but for Maybank, only Amex entitled 5x, Visa is 1x even for overseas.

I was using combination of M2 Plat Amex + AMB WMC.
Use Amb for overseas (enjoying lower exchange rate too) and those local expenses which does not accept Amex.

Correct me if I'm wrong, both primary and supp card holder (CIMB Preferred Infinite) can access to lounges at the same time ? Just got the card, never use b4. Thanks.
*
I remembered we discussed about this a few weeks ago.
Try to search for it.
If not mistaken, the supp card holder has to be "preferred" customer too.
I can't understand how it works.

Is this the best card?

Ambank World Master Card / Visa Infinite - Unlimited with RM500 spending 30 days before or after each lounge visit
*
It WAS the best card for lounge access, seriously the best...
Gone the good old days.

By the way, it is no longer unlimited access, limited to 5.
Unlimited access only applicable for Signature (priority banking) customer and they don't need to fulfill RM500 criteria.

Nevertheless, it is still not bad, as it has relatively good access to a number of lounges worldwide, with no AF incurred.
Besides, it allows supp card holder to access PPL too, this is the sole reason I still keep the card where I supp for my parents for their overseas trip.

interesting, so if i do a transit means i am not able to use the same card for lounge access if i have already used it during departure?
*
Yes, for those cards limited to one entry a day, including those with "unlimited access".
Ie Ambank Signature WMC (Priority banking) with unlimited access, but it is still limited to once a day.

*
SCB is offering LK for worldwide lounge access.
If you intend to get Ambank Signature for unlimited access, you rather opt for SBC.

Exactly.
Btw, HLB World/Elite is offering complimentary airport transfer with Grab (RM100/88).
It will be good for other cards to follow this.

Btw the emirates miles transfer is quick, as advertised, it transfer into my emirates acc within 48 hours automatically.
*
Yes, they want us to spend with their card in overseas.
For genuine usage, RM2k isn't an issue.

Yup, emirates miles will auto transfer into emirates acc.
However, yet to receive their sign up bonus.

Hi experts,

I know I should not have ask to be spoon fed. I have done research based on the first page recommendation, but with so many cards and requirements plus hidden conditions, I am worry I will make the wrong choice.

I make around 100k a year, which cards are the most hassle free way to let me and my partner to get into the lounge for around 3 times a year (6x for two). Just the Malaysia's lounge is suffice. They can be combination of cards from two different bank if that is the only mean to get my partner in as well.

I am hoping to get cards with FREE annual, or with low annual waive requirements as well, if any.

Thanks guys.

From my personal experience, I suggest you look into the following cards:
RHB WMC, HSBC VS, Aeon, AMB WMC, PBB WMC

Generally, CC is offering lounge access in hope that you bring them along during overseas trip (yes, most of us will only bring 2-3 CC along).
Hence, most bank has cut down lounge access for domestic traveling, only can access to lounge in international departure.

For int'l departure, both RHB and HSBC are quite good.
RHB has no AF while HSBC, you need to swipe once a month for AF waiver.
If you managed to bump your salary to 120k (after include bonus / passive income etc), you can opt for AMB which gives you a lot more options for overseas lounges, no AF but you need to spend RM500 for each access.
For AMB, you can supp a card for your partner, where it allows supp card holder to enter with his/her supp card.

Aeon is still good for domestic traveling (if not mistaken).
Same for PBB, but it only has 2/3x access (combine with supp).

Last but not least, most of the cards only allow 1 access / day.
Meaning KL - Sg (transit) - XX, you can't use same card in both KL and Sg.
