Nowadays Unionpay cards are widely accepted in Klang Valley, not sure about other cities in Malaysia.

Majority of the banks in Malaysia has downgraded the annual income requirement for the platinum cards. But ICBC Malaysia still maintained RM100k per annum for its platinum cards.. blink.gif

BTW, Islamic cards are open to non muslim as well...
*
min income requirement is just a guideline which i dont think they follow strictly.
if you have a good payment record and dsr is good, they will approve it likely.

my income is way below 200k mark but i have got 3 mc world elite with min 250k per annum requirement.

Good to know that we can still apply without hitting the income requirement.
What are the world elite options we have here?
RHB Emirates, CIMB Enrich, Citi Prestige...
Anymore?

reached KLIA before 6am this morning
PPL was closed till 6am
Ended up trying MBB MUVI at Flight Club opposite of PPL. Great environment. Quiet with excellent food
*
excellent food? the buffet u mean?
for ala carte, afaik cc holder only entitled for the hofun soup and coffee.
other items on the menu need to pay.

i think ppl buffet beats flight club anytime.

I beg to differ. In terms of buffet flight club has more variety if compared to the PPL opposite. I went to eat at flight club, then head over to PPL after I am done eating, hence I was able to compare.
*
PPL u get to choose the soup and noodle type.
FC you only get ho fun soup and nothing more.

In the morning FC only service nasi lemak with some sausage and potatoes and fried noodles in the buffet, only one type of sliced bread is provided.
PPL has more variety of bread, sometimes croissant, sometimes they have tart, sometimes bun and slice bread.

I prefer FC food to PPL food too. I also prefer the ambience over there.
*
FC has less crowd compare to PPL because not many people know that you can enter FC even after swiping on PPL.
But sooner or later FC crowd will grow.

is dragonpass allow free access? it seem they only give discount for access other than samasama which is free when using uob card.
*
Someone also commented dragonpass is not updated. PPL cannot access.

Best bet still stick with Loungekey or PriorityPass

Yes. I've read it! I know it doesn't entitle me access to these lounges.

I'm just saying, for a premier card, it should have more lounges available especially in high-tourists / business-important countries.
*
premier travel hsbc is not really a premier card.

world mastercard elite is one level higher.

Oh, Prestige also switch into LK
But benefits for LK and PP should be quite identical right?
*
lk only 1x per airport.
pp was unlimited per airport.

i used to visit all available lounge in each airport with pp but seems like i cant do it anymore.

pp is only for lounge visit.
lk has lounge visit and some discount in spa and shopping.

LK iirc is a joint  venture between banks. I forsee more and more complimentary lounge visit  programs will transition to this.

edit i was wrong. LK and PP own by the same corporate body, but LK is a tailormade program specifically for bankcards i.e. no need to issue a standalone card., But my conclusion stays the same. Want PP? Buy PP.

https://www.collinsongroup.com/en-apac/enrich/loungekey
*
both pp and lk already support app based qr code card...
so standalone card does not matter anymore.

to me it's all boils down to the cost, lk is cheaper than pp for most banks.

*
