You will be given with PB VI card: https://www.sc.com/my/credit-cards/priority...-visa-infinite/

It gives unlimited complimentary access to global lounges using LoungeKey.

Spending 10k for LK is acceptable la
You are not getting zero in return, just a lower value

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jul 25 2019, 05:19 PM)
10k is easily achievable.

true i guess - just that i have not been keen on reward point cards due to constant devaluation.

I guess if i have the 250k .. just top up bigpay for the 10k.

LK iirc is a joint venture between banks. I forsee more and more complimentary lounge visit programs will transition to this.

edit i was wrong. LK and PP own by the same corporate body, but LK is a tailormade program specifically for bankcards i.e. no need to issue a standalone card., But my conclusion stays the same. Want PP? Buy PP.

The international lounge is of course much bigger and better, with a wider range of food and serves alcohol....the regional lounge at the international zone of the MTB is not bad too, but no shower as well....

*
Actually i recall regional lounge has 1 shower stalls per gender -- in the washroom too

1. CIMB preferred https://www.cimbpreferred.com.my/en/lifesty...rt-lounges.html

2. your own prioritypass or a card that gives loungekey https://airport.mastercard.com/en/lounge-fi...loungecode=KUL5

For most PPLi went to so far you are allowed to bring a guest if u got 2 principal cards from different banks in your name that allow PPL access.

There appears to be no restriction by Maybank, someone had used different eligible cards from them to bring guests before....
*
you are welcomed to try. What I was told some banks complained, and PPL made it a policy not to allow cards from the same bank for a single principal user to avoid issues claiming from the bank later

Yes, it is under Loungekey Program.
SC Priority banking is a better choice compare to other bank in term of lounge access.
Is good for those who has excess money but doesn't want to pay AF for CC with unlimited lounge access.
*
It does have AF after 2 years, but need to spend 10k to waive according to website. Points.. :S . value per point quite low iirc - always see some items when redeeming JOP cashback lol

Guys is it all PPL around the world charge the same price ?

Got a transit of more than 3 hrs at HK airport, plan to use the ambank world master card to charge for PPL entrance.

Not going for rm500 spend free entrance, so just want to know how much HK PPL charge per entrance after ambank world master card 20% discount

Anyone got any idea ?

Worth to get this card for annual fee of rm1000?
*
QUOTE(kons @ Nov 16 2019, 06:53 PM)
yes if you travel a lot.

the unlimited lk is useful when you need to wait a while in the airport.

cheapest priority pass with 10x entry to worldwide lounge is about rm 1.2k per year.
so it is a steal with citi prestige lk.
*
if its actually lounge key (i personally don't follow CTB cards) than SC Priority VI which was discussed earlier is more worth it...

Unlimited access + Annual fee waiveable after Year 2 with 10k spending

CTB Prestige i understand not waiveable at all

Edit: Challenge is whether you travel frequent enough for these cards to be worth it.

Thinking of getting Aeon Big Gold Visa.

Are card holders allowed to enter lounge for free AFTER arriving at destination, since we have to show staff credit card and boarding pass.
*
i would point out it only makes sense if you don't have "check in" luggage or you have a long transit with check-through bags

May I know which is the recommended CC to apply for this purpose?
Ambank need to swipe 5x overseas transaction within 1 month of enrollment
CIMB need to be preferred customer to enjoy unlimited visits rite?
What if I buy priority pass or dragon pass?is it worthwhile?
*
If "this purpose" is lounge - hard to say as depend on what card you are eligible to apply. Some are unlimited, some are not.

Ambank requires 3? (check) overseas transactions within 1 month of the "use". The lounge is also limited and scattered so do review whether you travel to those places first.

CIMB unlimited in Malaysia is up to end of the year only. who knows whether will extend.

Buying PP is only really worth it if you travel often enough. Usually PP slots in to the scenario where you dont fly enough to get lounge access, or you dont accumulate airline loyalty /fly AA only. Alternatively is to sign up for a card that gives the PP free (so save USD99) but pays for access.

Previously Citi Prestige gives a PP with unlimited access at a annual fee less than an equivalent PP bought directly. So on paper - worth it. But that is still a >1k annual fee - lots of ppl would think twice - do i fly often enough to justify paying for that?

Key question is how much are you willing to spend out of pocket to get into a lounge.

Personally I don't focus on KLIA & KLIA2 lounges entitlement. Many credit cards now offer free (but limited) access, I only compare the overseas lounges benefit.

QUOTE(bazsh @ Nov 30 2019, 02:59 AM)
How much is LK per year?
Is it better than Priority pass or dragon pass?
*
LK comes with credit card. Cost and entitlement depends on which card.

Opinion is PP has a tad more lounges. (PP and LK same owner). No idea abt dragonpass.

But AMEX is still not widely accepted here.  sweat.gif
Ah.... that would still be better than paying rm3250 for nothing. With that kind of money, might as well apply your own PP without the need to get tied to any bank cards.
*
QUOTE(kons @ Dec 6 2019, 01:30 PM)
3250 comes with 3x pp (1 card holder + 2 others)
So the fee is justified

10x entry per year independently from PP is about 1.2k per year.
*
I would point out that unless you only have PP - it is only really useful for airports outside of Malaysia (except for this klia2 discussion) as other cards would have already covered the KLIA lounges for free.

So a 10x entry = 10 return trips (unless the overseas lounge allows arrival customers too).

now if you find yourself needing to use Aerotel KLIA2 most of the time >.> then you would likely have hit status with AA to use the Red Lounge right?
