Need advice;

Looking at Samsung (because they supposed to give 3yrs security updates) lower-end A or M series, but I notice they have separate 4G and 5G versions for most of their models.

I don't want to spend too much since this will be a secondary phone for basic tasks and dirty/spyware apps needed for Malaysian daily life (WhatsApp, MySejahtera, Grab, MAE, TnG, etc), so is it worth it to spend more for 5G models?

Initially was looking to spend below RM 1K, but all the 5G models are above that. Revised my budget to 1.2K max now, but still hoping I can get away with a cheaper 4G model.

Any recommended models? I'm a Samsung/Android n00b.

Why A52s is more expensive than newer A53? I'm planning to buy A52S and can someone tell me your experience with it?

Hi, I've just bought an A03S two weeks ago, and already updated to Android 12.

The camera flash is really something I cannot understand. Below I attach 2 sets of photos; one from work and one at home. The ones at work were in very low light condition, the ones at home were in total darkness.

The photos from work were taken with the phone being brought increasingly closer to the object surface. The nearer the phone is, the darker the photo becomes, despite all photos taken with flash.

The photos at home were taken from fixed distance. As you can see in the first two photos, even with such a bright flash, the photo is still really dim. On the third photo, I toggled focus lock (the floating orange lock symbol), and suddenly its like I'm standing in front of the sun.
What is up with this bizarre camera flash, and is this a common issue with the A-series phones?
