Better not waste your time on it. I regret my A50 purchase every second of every day.

Lag: Sometimes. Below expectation for the price (to put it mildly)

Display: Good but others are not far behind

Camera: Not that good.

That was my first thought too when i decided to go for the A50.

I have updated my phone with the firmware that should improve the fingerprint scanner but still not that much of a difference. Of course i could try to set the fingerprint all over again or even factory reset the phone and do everything from scratch but i have lost hope in the phone to even waste my time to do that. Perhaps i could give it a try after a major update.

For now I'm not using the phone but keep it turned on and charge it when the battery get really low.

Previous firmware was better when it comes to fingerprint scanner. Now the scanner failed to read my right thumb 100% of the time (based on almost 30 attempts). While the performance with my left thumb seems like the same as the previous firmware.

It's a bit better now, for onscreen standard of course.

But i would avoid phone with onscreen fp scanner for at least a few more generations until it becomes as good as current conventional fp scanner.

Glad to hear that yours working better after the update. I think onscreen fp need at least a few generations just to be on par with the current conventional fb. I certainly wouldn't hold my breath for the one that is better than the current conventional.

Agree with you on that. It has to start somewhere.

Is it just me or the signal is a bit low with the A50? Even Max Pro M1 got a better signal with the same telco.

I'm not sure if it's a lemon, especially after the latest update where the fp scanner is a bit better. Perhaps it just that the phone is a little bit inferior when it comes to signal strength? Or perhaps it's just me making up excuses to avoid the hassle of sending this A50 to Samsung service center.😄
