I use English language setting for ATM.

Usually they withdraw more money than me

why aren't there tamil language at atm?

i withdraw rm50 each time i go ATM

usually i tekan melayu or english for ATM

Most high rank officer shown in the list already left service in mid 80's.
Mind tell you most gen X already being told by this same ppl to avoid this profession.
My FIL left SB in early 90's.
And my kids don't even knew their grandfather work in police force as he said to me and my wife that there is no much honour in the force after 80's

MAlay dont use atm because they go counter withdraw 50k at a time, ive seen it evedytime i go cimb bank in changkat

Sometimes I purposely leave my receipt slip on the ATM so the next person jelly when they see my bank account balance.

No doubt your contribution of navy info in /k/ is commendable.

What we talking here is encouragement of getting non to join the force to serve the nation.

How you going encourage the millennium kids or so call strawberry generation to join the force with bright future career?

2ndly what you going to do with parents (especially gen x & gen y) who been already feed with low prospect career (thanks to BN r&r card)?

Using the jeneral name list not going to help you much.

Some of us still have in living ex-serviceman who can easily influence among us what is the future in army or police based on their experience.

Lastly let do some simple test onto yourself.
1. Name 2 non bumi personal you admire in your force and its achievement that you want to learn and break his/her record.
2. If you able to name it in within 3seconds, it is a good sign that you can use it as your awareness program to help new generation join army. If only one name, though luck as you need more things to entice them. If zero, no need to say. You should questions yourself whether are you is a good example to tell the non bumi that joining the force provide good future.

Look at the years. In the earlier days there were many non-malays in atm.

Same like many non malays in gov service in the earlier days.

even if u look at pdrm, many of the high ranking ones or in specialized unit are not malays

So few nons wanna join so if course la not many nons in high ranking officers.

Have neighbour non bumi retired tudm pilot. Wife never work. So nice to see him retired with pension, gov medical benefits & fully paid home. Mcm better than us so call "corporate life". Hopefully my epf & savings is enough.

its got nothing to do with restirictions for promotions.
chinese will never enter and join ATM simply because the salary is too low, and they only way to get higher salary is by becoming high ranking officers, which is hard because slot is very limited.
my brother is a drill sergeant in the ATM and he told me every year theres like less than 10 chinese person who wanted to enlist in every single recruitment camp in oppose to hundreds of melei/iban/bumiputra sabah sarawak and indian, like 30% in every session, much higher than chinese, and they wonder why their presence is so low in the higher ranking.

if they dun even wanna join in the first place, how are they gonna enter the higher ranks? aiyo...

I admire this guy....Dato Ganesh. Previously he was the Navy Inspectorate Jeneral. He reads a lots, and will share with all the navy officers if he found out interesting. His approach is easy.... if u want to do something in academic, just email him.....and he will reply with list of books to read.

More work, less pay, no promo; other colleague get less work, more pay, promo, because he is correct colour

Moral of the story: you only have to sacrifice for the country if you are wrong colour; right colour, you can be compensated fairly for your trouble

Some people have higher integrity and sense of duty towards their country. These are the people who sacrificed without expecting returns, promotions nor salaries. They have honour and pride in their service. They live modestly, bukan shopping LV every weekend and show off on Insta.

“Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what can you do for your country”.

Are you following his path by reading more books than him & be more approachable than him so that you have opportunity to confer to the same title as Dato Ganesh?

Most of my Indian & Chinese friends, with better qualifications and also from military academy end up as captain rank while the rest end up as Brigs or higher when they turn 45. They end up retired and go into private sector with better pay as their command of English is better. Even one chinese tanker with boxing medals also left for private sector at 45 with Capt. rank, now CEO in Spore. Not many chinese tank commanders in ATM also.

Then got ppl in /k including a cashier thing I must be daddykasi or use card because of this.

This sound like private sector. People with same race with the boss get promoted because the boss think the other race already being helped by the govt. Little the boss know other than 7% rebate buying houses from the developer and ASB, not much tongkat given to average joe.
