Screen = Bezel really thick.
A lot of light bleed. Definitely didn't like it. Keyboard = It has pretty lights which I find stupid. I would have rather them taken the keyboard from the Thinkpad X/T line (legendary keyboards on those!)
Audio = Pretty good for a laptop, also has a subwoofer which makes the audio acceptable.
Build Quality = Good all around, except the screen hinges, flimsy.
Thermal Management = Extremely good. Even with OCing, 72 degrees Celsius tops!
Add ons =
Not much bloatware which is very good. If you want it you have to DL yourselfPorts = I like the back facing ports, makes cable management easy
Misc = Didn't like the 2.5 inch drive bay, would have rather used the space for extra cooling or batt power and another M2 slot
for the screen, turn off adaptive brightness mode in windows10 if you havent already.
but thats mainly for brightness and colour fluctuations in windows.
but it still helps with lightbleed i think. cause my first few days using it with adaptive brightness, when i do light bleed test on pure black background i was getting quite a lot of light bleed and its obvious like you said..
however after turning adaptive brightness off, the light bleed is no longer obvious and fell back to acceptable range..
my guess is because pure black background and adaptive brightness mode turned on, so the computer detects it as such and overcompensates by pumping in more backlight

was pissed off because i thought the screen was quite poor and dim and colours kept "fluctuating" despite me getting the 144hz 300 nit panel..
when using, switching between dark and bright backgrounds, the colour slowly creeps to darker or lighter depending on background. was super irritating to use and getting eye sore..
then only found out windows 10 had something called adaptive brightness feature that is enabled by default..
now the easy fix used to be to just turn it off in power options.
https://lifehacker.com/disable-windows-anno...e-on-1567886994but since the 1809 update, windows removed that option menu entirely in power options.. and now the only way to do it is through command prompt..
thnakfully found some guides on google and finally manage to turn adaptive brightness off..
basically i turn adaptive brightness off through powercf in command prompt.
but it only works for when plugged in, when not plugged in and on battery mode the adaptive brightness was still on despite me turning it off through command prompt.
and finally after lots of trial and error, i installed Intel HD graphics control panel and turned off adaptive brightness from there.
finally it works for both plugged in and battery, no more adaptive brightness!
and my god, the screen is finally usable and nice.
why tf they even make adaptive brightness enable by default with no ways to disable it is mindbogglingly stupid sia..
and yes for the bloatware i agree. the only bloatware i got in my y530 was the mcafee AV.
windows 10 itself makes up the majority of the bloatware. so good job on lenovo for that.
