Hi guys. Want to ask. For Lenovo, if we upgrade hard disk or ram by ourselves, will it void the warranty?

Just chat with Lenovo support team. I still can change address later. Need to email the support. Phew. Glad to hear that.

Wanna change to office address. No need to worried anymore if no one at home because PKPB is ended.

5i is with either white backlit keyboard or 4 zone RGB (this looks ugly IMO)
*
But bro, the 4zone RGB we can customize to make all zone become white right?

In other word 4zone RGB can make it into white backlit keyboard, while the white backlit keyboard option will stay as it is.

why the most expensive model for 7i written N/A for hard drive? do i need to add it separately by myself?
*
Because it equipped with bigger battery which is 80w. Those who which have hdd drive, only come with 60w battery.

Which to choice?

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super Max-Q 8GB GDDR6
Vs
32GB RAM + 2TB HDD.

RTX2060 and 2070 different alot ?
*
For me depend on what you do with the laptop and what you gaming bro. Different is about 20-30fps +- depending on the game as well.

I will take RTX 2070 for future proofing and down the road if got extra budget can upgrade the ram and storage.

Game and Coding. Now some code development starts to require 16GB RAM to debug.
Also have the same though, just not sure what big difference between 2060 and 2070. Read some review, the difference not much about 3-4% improvement.

That is for the normal GTX 2070 MaxQ. Not the Super version.

You talking about Super right?

QUOTE(cfphan @ Jun 4 2020, 04:08 PM)
2060 vs 2070MQ - save ur money buy game
2060 vs 2070SMQ - maybe

Agreed. Super is another level already eventho its MaxQ.

I ordered a Thinkbook 14 on Sat 11th April, then quickly called n cancelled order on Mon 13th cuz forgot to add a SSD.

Subsequently placed new a order on 14th since the customer service assured me on the phone n through email the 1st order would be cancelled.

Long story short, 1st order refund still haven't received n 2nd order punya unit also haven't received

Swiped nearly 6k for 2 units in mid April, neither received the laptop nor refund until now.

Shipping time was listed as 2-week when configuring, such bullshit

Wow! Until now bro? doh.gif

What is their reply to you?

If I'm not mistaken the M.2 doesn't support SATA (Lenovo has been doing NVMe only for years, dk why). By right the M.2 slot should be able to support both
*
Wow. So sad.

The M.2 sata is much more cheaper than NVMe. Of course is much slower.

But for those who not use that much speed, can use the sata with much more affordable option.

Edit: price NVMe vs Sata is about the same. I mistake the price with different capacity. sweat.gif

mine just shipped today, consider fast from initially 22nd june expected eta.

fingers crossed no problems in delivering
*
Wow! That fast. Even though our order date is different in 1 day. Haha.

The only problem is just the documentation and sirim. Mostly the order will stuck at kastam first.

Saw bunch of other buyer complaining in FB today.
