I am thinking if it’s a bad idea to have the same lawyer that did the S&P, loan agreement and MOT to also do the discharge of charge and to revoke all power of attorney, etc.

or it does really matter which lawyer does it?
Thanks all

I know I can appoint any lawyers. That’s not the question
The question is, is it a bad idea to get the same lawyer that did my SAP, loan agreement and mot to also do the discharge

i think should be better as the lawyer got all the documents, save time

sometime if your appoint a different lawyer, there could be a minimum charge of transfer out the file to the new lawyer, i think...

any risk you foresee if u use the same lawyer ?

thats what I thought too - save time and maybe cheaper
anyway i got a quote from them - its around RM800 plus
long time ago, i had another one done and it was RM400 plus.

not sure what are the risks and disadvantages hence my question

Use the cheaper one. Any lawyer will still need to write in and request documents from bank. No difference using your old lawyer. Depends whose customer service is better. If the 800 customer service is better, tell them to match the price of 400 and then you will give to them

thank you
