QUOTE(jkelol111 @ May 27 2019, 06:13 PM) Thanks for the link halfdevil, is it OK if there is only band 5 support? I heard Unifi Mobile roams on Celcom sometimes, does that mean if I cannot connect to band 5 then my phone will roam on Celcom LTE? Also, does anyone have experience with the 1GB basic internet addon? It says LTE/3G, does that mean it just randomly drops between LTE and 3G? Sorry for the noob-ish questions guys Basic means 64kbps. LTE/3G means data quota can be used in 3G (Celcom) and LTE (Unifi) network.

QUOTE(ckimsem @ Feb 25 2020, 08:19 PM) The two are using same LTE band 5, 38 and 40. But, they are truly some difference. I have subscribed to unifi air on JAN 2020 and just terminated it this month FEB 2020, about 3 weeks usage. Unifi Air has better uncapped speed, depend on which area. It doesn't have call or SMS, unlimited data for RM79 monthly and need to pay 6% SST. Unifi Air has a lot of congestion, especially at night. Unifi Bebas with capped speed, also depends on which area. It can make call and SMS, unlimited data add on for RM20 per week without 6% SST. Unifi Bebas does NOT gets congested. What is the speed for uncapped and capped speed? Unifi mobile 59 unlimited, I get 70mbps max on band 40 area. Band 5 is known to be extremely slow most of the time.

QUOTE(alexleow81 @ Mar 1 2020, 11:49 AM) Anyone use mobilecare@unifi app to pay? This morning I tried paying using credit card, then it says PAYMENT FAILED, then try payment again, also PAYMENT FAILED and after that, saw 2 notification e-mail stating payment successfully and account is shown payment successful. Luckily i pay 2 times only and not try again, if not overcharged for many months! Their app quite shit and need amendments! Use myunifi app will do, all in one for Home and Postpaid. p/s: Prepaid not sure can use or not 😅 This post has been edited by poh880: Mar 1 2020, 11:54 AM

QUOTE(azhar75 @ Aug 14 2020, 01:09 PM) Call drops is the default fiasco for UniFi Mobile since the "webe" era... they don't bother to improve anymore because the intermittent of LTE and 3G switching on the background... You may try to lock the phone/device to Band 5 only to see any improvement... Just off your VoLTE option Data on 4G. Voice on 3G.

QUOTE(wilson1stop @ Sep 1 2020, 10:32 AM) Data their own coverage with roaming with Celcom mostly 3G, so NOT ideal for travellers. Voice/SMS is roaming with Celcom as Unifi don't have 3G license, not sure with Unifi VoLTE yet. UniFi mobile have VoLTE available to any phone that support it.

QUOTE(darachan @ Aug 28 2023, 10:12 PM) Calling 03- (KL/Selangor number) or Calling 1-300- number from outside KL/Selangor, but within Malaysia, makes no difference on the call charge right? Basically deduct how many seconds based on your voice quota available. Better call 03 or any other normal number (landline number). If you are on unlimited call plan, you will know I always prepare my contact list with those alternative number, no 1300 if possible.

QUOTE(coolguy_0925 @ Sep 9 2023, 12:29 PM) 2g digi umobile can ke i tot only celcom and lately maxis well wait till like mine got maxis 2g 3 bars but still all became missed call smses lagi wtf Yes, 2G only for Celcom and Maxis but since Digi and Celcom will combine their towers, we will get the best of both. QUOTE(zioburosky13 @ Sep 10 2023, 08:21 AM) Is anyone using Unifi 5G mobile here? How is the service compared to other ISPs? (Specifically, Maxis) We only have DNB for 5G Coverage for 5G is the same. But Maxis may have better 4G coverage, so your phone may not connect to all 5G coverage at all times. For speed wise should be almost the same. I have tested to run all below the tower and all have 1Gbps+- This post has been edited by poh880: Sep 10 2023, 08:54 AM

We don't get to use all Maxis towers. My housing area have no coverage for unifi but full bar Maxis 4G. Manual selected Maxis 4G but only manage to connect to Maxis 2G which also very far away with only 1 bar.

QUOTE(coolguy_0925 @ Jun 25 2024, 03:27 PM) The network in general is rather unstable I can see my network is showing at least 3 or 4 bars yet calls or SMSes could not come in UNTIL I toggled on & off aeroplane mode Another funny thing is once connected at full 5 bars then it will then drop to 1 bar & the device is when the same place Or, both SIM 1 & SIM 2 are Unifi Mobile but SIM 1 full 5 bars & SIM 2 only 1 bar Are your phone dual 5G? Or else SIM 1 on DNB and SIM 2 on Unifi signal. When calls coming in DNB will force your line to your own provider 4G (Unifi). Your place may have very weak Unifi 4G signal. What good about Unifi is they have 2 DR partner, CelcomDigi and Maxis but not all partners are available at any given time. Can be both also cannot use. 😂 This post has been edited by poh880: Jun 25 2024, 04:47 PM

QUOTE(coolguy_0925 @ Jun 25 2024, 05:31 PM) My phone 4G je If weak why I can get full bars for one sim and 1 for another so I guess there are a few towers around so one connected to diff The DR only 2G works for my area. Last time Celcom but now only Maxis. I think they stopped with Celcom once moved over completed with Maxis now And Maxis 2G here is the worst. Last time Celcom no issue. Full bars but SMSes are not coming in... Not only that... even in mall also no 4G so if those heavily dependent on mobile one they better get others Too bad for you. Where are you located? Me in Miri, Sarawak gets all Maxis and Celcom 2G and 4G but depends on area, certain part gets both, some Celcom or Maxis only. But my house don't have all. No VoWiFi on Unifi 😠Maxis didn't rent the tower to Unifi and it's just in front of my house. 😑 Always get missed call SMS when at home.
