hi all, for hotspot how do i activate? i just bought the rm10 starter pack to try and when go to hotspot setting it ask me to contact provider. i need call them?

i’m using iphone 8. with my maxis line i can hotspot no problem.

When i tried to on hotspot in iphone using the prepaid bebas, it says contact carrier to enable hotspot on this account.
Using router itself no issue.

Must go TM to activate something?

Nvm, found the answer online. Need to add setting at Personal hotspot. APN = unifi

30-50ms is good?   Try 16ms on Celcom..

Update: Just so happen I randomly pass by to buy USJ4 petronas burger, I found the Unifi tower you earlier shared.
Band 40 with -75dbm signal. Confirmed it's the tower.

Ran a speed test, managed only 36Mbps despite just 100feet away from the tower. This take into account I maybe not in Line-Of-Sight of the antenna direction.

Therefore take into account if your signal is quite weak wiyh Band 40 .I would assume you may only get 3-5Mbps.

I think its no surprise that Unifi Prepaid and Postpaid is able to connect to Band 40 also, and with TM "highly encouraging" customer to use Band 5. You know why lah..   
Only thing: Most phones cannot lock a band. Someone mentioned only Samsung can lock.

Well there will still be suckers whom thinks broadband is separated from phone line.
I can only suspect one thing: Unifi supplied - ZTE modems - Have their ROM custom made to lock to only Band 40 . I maybe totally wrong.

Its very normal for telcos to market and sell Broadband plans , more expensive than normal phone data.

But Yes Postpaid - 100GB costs RM 49 (and its hidden FAQ states that it can do hotspot no restrictions)

does utilising FREE 1G daily data will not extend validity? been always using it, sometimes without 4G will fallback to 3G and using existing data plan but still received this alert, wonder does it mean something or can ignore?
