Anyone try the sim with router?
I plug it into my TPlink router, couldn't detect signal.
is that router configuration required?
Thanks.

QUOTE(ckimsem @ Jul 17 2020, 07:26 PM) Which model of TPlink router do you use? Please check if the model supports 4G LTE band 5, 38, or 40? Tplink mr6400. how to check the router supported band?If the router supports the bands, it’ll work just plug n play. BTW, Unifi Mobile postpaid is not recommended to be use in router cause it has limited hotspot quotas. I tried with unifi mobile prepaid. |

QUOTE(ckimsem @ Jul 21 2020, 04:43 PM) TP Link mr6400 is a 4G only capable router, and it depends on which version you're using. Only APAC V3 version has support for 4G LTE band 5, there's a high chance that your model doesn't support 4G LTE band 5, and neither your location has 4G LTE band 38 nor 40. So, you might need to look for other routers. Band 5 is 850MHz and specialize for mobile phone use?Network Type (V2) 4G: FDD-LTE B1/B3/B7/B8/B20 (2100/1800/2600/900/800MHz) TDD-LTE B38/B39/B40/B41 (2600/1900/2300/2500MHz) 3G: DC-HSPA+/HSPA+/HSPA/UMTS B1/B8 (2100/900MHz) 2G: EDGE/GPRS/GSM Quad Band (850/900/1800/1900MHz) Network Type (V3) 4G: FDD-LTE B1/B3/B7/B8/B20 (2100/1800/2600/900/800MHz) TDD-LTE B38/B39/B40/B41 (2600/1900/2300/2500MHz) 3G: DC-HSPA+/HSPA+/HSPA/UMTS B1/B8 (2100/900MHz) Network Type (APAC V3) 4G: FDD-LTE B1/B3/B5/B7/B8/B20/B28 (2100/1800/850/2600/900/800/700MHz) TDD-LTE B38/B39/B40/B41 (2600/1900/2300/2500MHz) 3G: DC-HSPA+/HSPA+/HSPA/UMTS B1/B5/B8 (2100/850/900MHz) You may check it yourself at https://www.tp-link.com/my/home-networking/...#specifications |

QUOTE(kit2 @ Jul 25 2020, 03:56 PM) Anyone knows if unifi prepaid (and its freebie) is activated upon purchase/registration? Planning to purchase a new sim card now but only starting using it on August 1 when my current data plan ends. Activated once insert to the phone and go thru few steps of verification. |

QUOTE(sp6068 @ Sep 2 2020, 11:43 PM) Managed to get a decent speed at Klang area. (Prepaid Bebas Weekly LTE) Woww..great speed you get! This is thethering via USB in my room 1F. Sometimes if 4G+ kick in can reach 20mbps but not very often can get 4G+. The minute I go downstairs, can get 2-3mbps. Upload speed however is a joke no matter what network. ![]() |

QUOTE(sckham @ Jan 27 2021, 10:21 PM) Attractive plan.Just concern about the coverage currently i am using unifi mobile prepaid. the line is weak at my home. the telemarketer claims that postpaid is using different infra, will have better coverage. Not sure how true is that |

QUOTE(sckham @ Jan 28 2021, 12:25 AM) im suing unifi prepaid aswell, Ohh..which means postpaid have wider coverage is true since it got 3Gso far so good, but only work on 4G/LTE this postpaid work on 3G/4G/LTE, so i think the coverage won't that bad, just that now so many telco offer unlimited data and call offter, RM59 just expensive compare to other |
