I previously was aware my area uses Maxis for 2g for UnifiMobile. May I know why Maxis 2G doesn't appear in searching for network manually recently? When in fact there is Maxis 2G before and it supposed to still have coverage. My phone sometimes can lock to Maxis 2G but sometimes it takes alot of time to sort of get authority onto Maxis 2G. This is when I am forcing 2G Only. By right, if Maxis 2G is within my area isn't it supposed to easily let Unifi Mobile onto it due to partnership, when I am able to connect successfully to the 2G via automatic network discovery it will still show (Maxis 2G) but Maxis 2G will never show up under Manual Network Scan. Even when its usually around -50dBm strength when I managed to get authority or locked onto it.

Unifi mobile users always having problem network attaching to Maxis2G from Unifi LTE, can take up to 30 seconds for network to attach to Maxis2G. Me notice this while dialing USSD, sometimes Maxis2G lost their connection instantly. Seem like Maxis2G network not really ready for other MVNO to attach to, may be Maxis2G still using left behind technology since those days.

I must say Unifi Band 5 is pretty good. Not very fast of course but very usable.

It seems to be a case where after a few weeks of not turning on my Simcard, the 2G under Force 2G Only mode will take alot of time perhaps I left it on for half hour and come back then only I see the 2G network attached. However once attached recently, it will attach quickly provided your last attachment is not more than perhaps a few days. Like the network has some kind of Recent History if you did not handshake them recently they won't authenticate you promptly and put you through some other slow authentication protocol. If you do a complaint ticket then suddenly you get attached fast again. But after long periods of no usage it will be back to slow authentication.

My 6 months unifi RM39 journey came to an end this week.

Would I recommend or consider using? Hell no. The network is worse than Maxis despite using their infra.

I was using dual sim with Hotlink. Unifi 2-: worse in same location for coverage and speed. I signed up cause of the free for 6 months promo and used it primarily for mobile data.

And the dumb part, need 1 app for unifi mobile, another app for unifi fiber. Why cannot just put everything in one app I don’t understand.

when i request line termination, the offered was 8 months free which i think it took up my phone’s space 😂

if your phone no 5g than your data restriction only have 30gb

I was forced to signed up with Unifi Mobile Postpaid RM39 for three months during change of Unifi fiber plan. They have insisted to bundle sign up for Unifi Mobile for change of Unifi fiber plan although no contract for Unifi Mobile. Staff at TM Point Kepong asked me to pay for advanced payment of RM39 via link at my email immediately upon registration. I have requested to pay later but they have refused.

I have immediately walk in to other TM Point to cancelled it since it is without contract. I have managed to submit my cancellation request at TM Point Museum after TM Point Setapak refused to do so.

It took 4 days to get it cancelled as their HQ are supposed to call me for verification but my line was terminated without verification call.

I have been told to wait until my first bill was out to request for refund of my advanced payment proportionately. I have submitted my refund request immediately once my first bill was out and live chat CS told me it will take 90 days for me to get a refund.

Fortunately, I have received my refund on the next day of submission.

Stay with Unifi packages are only available at TM Point/Unifi Store.

My unifi SWU4.0 was set up with a unifi postpaid three-month payment plan of RM39 plus SST, with one month’s advance payment when I signed up. However, the refund was not received when I contacted the TM Customer Service department after termination.
I visited the same branch to terminate my service, and two days later, received a call from HQ offering me eight months of free service but i declined that offer.
that the postpaid line was not the primary concern for me 😁

I'm considered to be lucky then. I have been charged prorated for 3 days @ RM5 including SST. Provided my bank account via live chat. Got my refund in my bank account on the next day after my first bill was out while they are saying 90 days.

of course same branch will not help me to cancel it on same day of application since they have forced me to sign up at the first place.
