As far as I know. VoLTE only works if only you and caller have the feature. If not, it is still normal voice call.
*
Yes, you are right.
In zeng case, his Galaxy Note 5 is supported VoLTE under Umobile but not unifi

Thank you bro for your valuable inputs.

I should have mentioned that I do have 2 numbers or more currently. Main line is Hotlink Fast mainly for data and may switch to Yoodo for data. 2nd line is OneXOX mainly for calls, but call quality and signal strength not so good, hence considering Unifi bebas for calls.

If it matters, I spend most of my times in USJ/Subang Jaya and D'islands/Taman Meranti in Puchong areas. Occassionally travels to Bemban Malacca and Seremban.
I too don't have VoLTE with OneXOX currently for calls.  My hunch is Unifi bebas may still out do OneXOX for calls only application, do you think so?
*
OneXOX ride on Celcom which unifi too
I believe you will face the same call quality and signal strength.

Based on my personal experience,
I suggest you look for telco/mobile that supporting VoLTE/VoWiFi.
With VoWiFi, you dont have to worry indoor/ourdoor signal as long as you are within WiFi coverage.

Hmm.... unifi bebas sounds like unfavourable for my usage pattern thus far, despite as 2nd line?
*
unifi is good for 2nd line
But you mentioned you aim for good call quality, mean you cant rely only on 2G
XOX and unifi both use Celcom 2G for call, I believe you might face the same issue

Thus I suggest go for telco that support VoLTE/VoWiFi.
(BTW, your Note 5 is quite old and you should consider some modern phone with VoWiFi supported)

Unifi will only switch to Celcom 2g/3g network when out of coverage. If u r under unifi coverage, the call will utilize 4g network first.
*
True.
But my call quality is so worse even I have VoLTE turned on.

Decided to try out Unifi 5G. Paid RM35 for Bebas Unlimited for one month.

Download speed 476 Mbps with 3 bars signal. Not bad. DNB website stated 416 Mbps average.
Coverage is still spotty in this area. When I go indoor, signal reduced to almost no bar but it did not switch to 4G immediately.

Hopefully it will improve over time.
Probably will not continue after one month as this is not my main line.

Phone: Poco F3
Area: Bandar Baru Bangi

Did you get 5G icon showing at your phone before redeeming the RM0 unlimited 5G addon?
Is 5G icon only appear after redeemed RM0 5G addon?

questions regarding unifi bebas prepaid

i have 2 numbers, A for data/call/personal usage, B only for some calls/receiving calls/whatsapp , as data will be used from A

so is it better to change my B telco to this, as this have no expiry and pay per use? as per understanding from their FAQ, just calling out is considered active, so i guess it's not a problem to be active in 90 days
*
For your number B, unifi prepaid is good for parking a number.
But their service and app won't make you happy (App is worse on both Android and iOS platform)
You need to pay RM10 for MNP and RM10 delivery fee (else you have to apply leave to pick up at TMPoint

But overall,
unifi bebas is good for parking number
Just try to avoid using it as primary number to get rid of headache

thanks for all the input, making bebas as primary is definitely banned  whistling.gif

so how you guys / what you guys do to park the number? use it to call one number like 1 month once? and reload once kredit habis?
*
Once you MNP to unifi, you will get 3GB data (which you paid RM10 for it)
Use it to surf internet at least 1MB every 80 or 89 days
No need to call because suft internet did the same

Hi all, tm unifi care offered for free wifi6 router from Dlink but extend contract 1 year. Is this router worth it?
*
Wrong thread.

BTW,
It's not about the router worth or not
It's about which ISP you will choose for the next 1 year.

If you wanna cut your unifi, of course it not worth

If you have no other choose and will be keep using unifi for the next few years, yes it worth
Because it's free

can elaborate why in ur experience?
*
My Experience:
1. Not fully supported iPhone. There is no VoWiFi, no iMessage, no 5G (until today)
2. no eSIM
3. TMPoint is so few and only operating on 09:00-17:30 Monday - Friday
You will be trouble if you lose your SIM card
4. Unifi Prepaid have no 24 hour customer call service. You can only CHAT with them

For anyone who going to buy Unity Package,
do note that unifi will straight *block* your hotspot feature

Even you purchase high speed data like 8GB RM18,
you will not able to hotspot anymore within this Unity package 6 months

hello all, i have balance RM15 in unifi prepaid and want to port out.

Beside buying the Unifi passes, is there anyway i can transfer the credit or spend for anything outside the apps ?
*
No, you cant transfer.
The only you can spend outside is Google Play.
Maybe you can think about to subscribe Google Drive or YouTube Premium
