i suggest you stay with your existing telco for the while. preview first.

this is time of great turbulence due to switching off 3G, upgrading to 4G, and introducing 5G.

don't end up jump here there but nett result become exercise in frustration.


maybe all this while, TM avoided investing into better footprint because they are waiting for full 4G and 5G to come online.

around my usual haunts on penang island, seems like maxis 3G is gone, while the rest still status quo. I'm having inconsistent can/cannot web browsing and not/working apps when on maxis. luckily my strategy to spare a different network (digi) on 2nd slot saves me, everytime.

Unifi Mobile overall does not seem to mention official overall speed cap when your are on TM's own 4G network.

- have monthly "high-speed" quota cap that you can purchase more.

If you manage to get more, then good.
But I don't want to pump hope sky high than what is official.

So when somebody ask, I will state that than "oh, you can get up to 1Gbps if you are lucky enough to get lab-perfect condition."

I don't have the risk-appetite to disappoint people by hyping up.

i don't there's a rule that prevent MNP in short time. I remember signing up postpaid telco X to catch a special number and immediate MNP out to telco Y on the dday after Kowtim by nighfall.

i think TM's strategy had always been to invests into 5G. Spending into existing 4G probably just enough to keep frequency and license. But gomen keep changing decision.

i rather sms out 10¢/bimonthly than risk deactivation.

Every ~90 days @ 3 months, send SMS 10¢.
So lets say this imperfect, end up 5 sms per year since cannot gamble really close to termination on 90th day.

RM10 ÷ 40¢ = 25 years.
RM10 ÷ 50¢ = 20 years.
