But the RSRP is quite bad @ -112db, probably the tower is too far.
The upload speed is slower compared to LTE band 5 which is 3-7mbps.

QUOTE(JLA @ Oct 2 2020, 10:16 PM) because TDD LTE dont have fixed upload download bandwidth like FDD band 5. webe give more time slot for downlink than uplink. Well, for RSRP over -100 is cell edge. That's meant I'm about to be out of coverage, right?[attachmentid=10609811] RSRP -112db fair. RSRQ -8 excellent I get around -90dbm on LTE band 5. QUOTE(datolee32 @ Oct 6 2020, 08:55 PM) TI found 4G and LTE are both different range of band, and speed may be different. hank you very much for all the suggestions and advice. Do remember all unlimited data add-ons are capped speed at 8mbps for DL/UL, even if your location has a very good connection.Unifi Air gives unlimited data with no speed capped, it might be congested at certain times even though Unifi Mobile Bebas does not This post has been edited by ckimsem: Oct 6 2020, 08:09 PM datolee32 liked this post

QUOTE(datolee32 @ Oct 6 2020, 09:28 PM) So in the end the best package and worth to take is still Unifi 30Mbps? Worth RM 89 per month. After SST, it is around RM 1130 annually. A high commitment. Still thinking which 1 is worth. If your area has fibre, why do you still need to consider 4G wireless internet? Fibre internet usually has a more stable connection in term of latency and less restrictions.BTW, Digi has come up with a new plan of 50mbps for RM90 excluding SST which is better than Unifi, speed wise. You may check at https://www.digi.com.my/shop/broadband-overview However, the downside of fixed fibre is 24-month contract, but saving for buying 4G CPE router which could cost a lot. All unlimited data add-ons are capped at 8mbps (Max), free or purchase ones are the same.I'm still on the free 1 week lte and it's within the 8mbps cap |

QUOTE(protonx50 @ Nov 2 2020, 07:24 PM) I have huawei router b315s-22. I put a unifi mobile sim into it but it kept on 3G only. Why i cant get 4G? The 3G signal also cant hotspot to any of my device. Can someone pls tell me why? what can i do to enable umobile sim in my huawei router? i already subscride to Bebas weekly unlimited RM12. Huawei B315s-22 does not support LTE band 5, and my guesses is your location only has Unifi Mobile 4G LTE band 5. And so, the router can only get 3G signal. |

QUOTE(Pengie @ Nov 16 2020, 12:06 PM) i see, thanks for the recommendation. portable might be inconvenient as I only want to use it at my home only. do you have any recommendation for router? This could be the cheapest option for 4G only CPE router which support a variety of 4G LTE bands including Unifi Mobile Bebas - https://shopee.com.my/TENDA-New-4G680-V2-4G...80984.772779932]You could also plug any RJ-11 phone for incoming/outgoing calls, but remember that calling is charged PPU or purchase add-on separately. QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Nov 23 2020, 12:59 AM) Isn't ping in 15ms to 25ms the norm ? So far i have never seen the ping for Digi and Maxis going above 28ms even peak hours at night. It's the same like speed, each and every location has different ping too.For my location: Unifi mobile = 45~60ms, little ping spike to 100~300ms, and it's playable. Maxis = 40~50ms, rarely ping spike 100~200ms, it's playable. Digi = 55~80ms, random ping spike 150~2000ms, it's unplayable. That's why gaming is better on fixed line internet, which even Unifi Lite (Streamyx) may do better than any telco network. |

QUOTE(Skylinestar @ Dec 13 2020, 11:37 AM) any idea when will the RM35 unlimited bebas promo plan will expire? RM35 monthly unlimited probably ends on 31 December 2020. But, whether or not Unifi Mobile will extend the promo is unknown.how's the traffic congestion of unifi cellular? similar to celcom? Each and every location is different, and so, you had better get a prepaid SIM to test your location. Unifi Mobile uses its own 4G network for unlimited data. |

QUOTE(Azuma-kun @ Dec 20 2020, 09:55 PM) Hi guys. This is Unifi Mobile tread, you should ask HERE for anything regarding Unifi Fiber.Do you having reconnecting issue on Whatsapp video call after a while? I keep on getting this issue after upgrading to 100mbps. I was provided with Huawei and Netis set when installation was done for 30mbps, at that time. I tried with iphone 6s, samsung 20+, viv0 y11, all same. But when I change to mobile data, no such issue. Any advices? SleeplessEyes liked this post

QUOTE(OKLY @ Jan 1 2021, 08:56 PM) If it’s band 3 then it should be domestic roaming on Celcom’s network. It will still show unifi on your phone. No, it'll show 'My Celcom' when it's on 3G network, I manually set to 'prefer 3G' on phone. And, Unifi in 4G network on 'prefer LTE'. However, it'll still show Unifi on 'Network Cell info' app when on 3G network. QUOTE(JLA @ Jan 1 2021, 11:31 PM) Yes, my area has Unifi LTE band 5, and upgraded with LTE band 40 too. QUOTE(khteoh2019 @ Jan 16 2021, 07:50 PM) Actually I wanted to put the sim card into Huawei E5576-855 (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001086335619.html). Based on the spec it should be able to support all the Unifi Bebas Band (5/38/40) mentioned in this forum, but the result is not satisfying. That's why I'm using a Note 3 to figure out what is going on, hopefully to find some clue. Besides Huawei E5576-855, I also has another Huawei E5577s-321, for testing but the result is the same. Huawei E5577s-321 was provided by DIGI last time, so far never did any unlock job before (Not that I know of), but it seems ok to put other telco's sim card in and it works. QUOTE(SleeplessEyes @ Jan 17 2021, 09:59 AM) Yeah, Unifi is pretty sensitive with its Band 40. In where I stay, I only managed to find 1 bedroom which capture the B40 signal. and I ran a speed test early this morning 8.30am , definitely I assume hardly anyone using , and I got around 13.8Mbps. I expect this to be lower when the day starts. Unifi Mobile LTE band 40 is actually very good in my location. It was a previous result, in OCT 2020, on Huawei B618s-65d before I sold it.RSRP was around -100dbm. ![]() Whereas the band 5...well... only managed 1-2Mbps (and a sign of congestion, even early morning). Tested using Vivo y20. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « So there you have it : Your answer. If you want Band 40 speeds and having to invest a B40 compatible modem, this will be the end result above. ![]() ![]() However, the upload wasn't that good but still rather stable at around 1-4mbps, that was in the morning and tested using the free 1gb. The LTE band 5 at my location is around 7mbps DL and 5mbps UL. The 'network cell info lite' screenshot and speed test below done on today using Redmi Note 4 phone, quite a big difference comparing to 4G+ router.
