Unifi bebas speed max cap at 7Mbps?
*
For Unifi Mobile Bebas prepaid unlimited data, yes, it's capped speed at 8mbps. For the expensive high speed data, it depends on location. If a particular location has 4G LTE band 38 or 40, it'll definitely exceed 8mbps.

I find that prepaid bebas unlimited also gets throttled to 1-2mbps once exceeded 10gb. Anyone experiencing the same?

Really sucks. Will not get the monthly bebas anymore .
*
No, still getting 5~7mbps. It's feeling like more congested at night nowadays compared to before, probably due to more users now.

Only the current free 1gb, and the expensive high speed data can exceed 8mbps.
For Unifi Mobile bebas prepaid unlimited data, it’s capped at 8mbps max regardless of which bands you’re connected.
If one area with band 38 or 40 is not congested, one can consider Unifi Air for it gives truly unlimited data with uncapped speed at somewhat affordable price.

FREE -  7-days LTE pass no more one month

Perhaps, Unifi Mobile has already noticed many people are repeating buying new SIM for the free 30 days unlimited data, and so less and less weekly unlimited purchases.

band 5 in your area is bad, doesn't mean that others are the same.

To me, for RM35/30days is greatly better than Unifi Lite (Streamyx).

Please stop using Ookla speed test....it's not considering actual speed for daily use...

Only Ookla speed test app for smartphone/tablet/iOS would show fake speed. Ookla for desktop shows actual speed. I'm using the free 1gb/daily for testing.
Morning shall be very good.

Afternoon till night time, there would be minor congestion.
And, I see that Streamyx speed test shows more accurate speed.

Online gaming need low latency which the fixed line always giving significant better ping than mobile network

I agree for fixed line always gives low latency, but the problem is intermittent DC on Unifi Lite (Streamyx).

LOL, you asking Streamyx in Mobile threads 😂

Did my post seem like a question? Maybe, you've mistaken the HELP emoji used for emphasize the sentence.

BTW, I don't use Unifi Lite and not in fiber coverage too. So, I wonder Unifi Lite can get over 8mbps nowadays.

just want to ask,is it unifi mobile post / pre paid can be use as pocket wifi device or dongle?
*
Unifi Mobile postpaid has limited quota for hotspot usage.
Unifi Mobile prepaid unlimited data can be used on any device because it allows unlimited tethering. However, it’s capped speed at 8mbps.

QUOTE(alpha @ Sep 16 2020, 11:07 PM)
I thought any usage on unifi mobile like sending a sms, making phone call, using internet data will extend the unifi mobile validity for 90 days, for instance, you use internet data through unifi mobile, it will extend validity for 90 days, tomorrow you use internet data, it will extend validity for 90 days, so the validity of unifi mobile will depend of the last usage (sms, making phone call, internet data), and not depend on the date of reload money. please correct if this is wrong.. TQ
*
According to Unifi Mobile Bebas FAQs, you're correct.

https://unifi.com.my/sites/default/files/ht...y_active_v5.pdf
5.How do I keep my line active?It’s simple. Just make any outgoing usage, reload or purchase any of the add-ons within 90 days from your last purchase and/or usage date.

upload is considered as outgoing usage, and so any data usage would extend validity to 90 days too.

It's now limited to 3 numbers per IC. Previous users with 5 numbers also limited to 3 numbers per IC, but can keep the current numbers until termination.

Thanks. It is now must compulsory to subscribe rm35 plan every month? Or can i just make use or the no validity period features ?
*
As the name said, you're Bebas. You can buy any add-on anytime as you wish, but limited to only one unlimited data add-on at a time, no stacking.
PAYU only for call/SMS, while no data quota means no internet at all.

Can we use this on a normal 4G router, or need to find special 4G router that can support band 38/40?
*
Yes, it can be used on 4G CPE router as a home internet. You'll need to make sure if the 4G router has support for LTE band 5 and 38/40. LTE band 5 must be prioritized since it has a large coverage than band 38 or 40.
So far, I have tried it on Huawei B618s-65d, Huawei B525s-65a, and Tenda 4G680 v2, you can connect a land-line phone using RJ11 cable to these router for incoming/outgoing calling.

Hi guys, may I know why I can't achieve more than 7 or 8Mbps for unifi prepaid bebas? The area that I was tested is 4g+, whereas at the same place I use Digi to test I'm able to get around 40Mbps+
I'm believe right now my data is utilise the Bebas plan instead of the Free data right?

My current device is Xiaomi Mi 9T, any helps? Because I saw other posted are usually more than 8Mbps, so hence the question, thanks!

For free/expensive data, you'll get high speed, over 8mbps+ and depent on location.

For all unlimited data add-ons, the speed is capped at 8mbps regardless of your signal is 4G+ or not.

From my home I did a speed test.
Test 1. 4G, 8mbps down, 4-5mbps up
Test 2. 4G+, 24mbps down, 1mbps up
does this signal look good in my area?
*
Since your location has 4G+ signal, it's considered as good. A lot of places only have 4G only signal, and some don't even get 4G at all.
