I have experienced bear market before the red color can be continuing for 6 months to 1 year and above with a few green color spikes in between. It is a very scary sight indeed. My own take is in such situation there are 2 options. Option 1 fully withdraw and wait for the pickup next which maybe a year later before re-enter. Option 2 is still DCA but reduce the frequency and DCA amount. Say DCA monthly become quarterly with smaller amount. This option means you are still invested but DCA at a much slower pace. The advantage of option 2 is when it really pick up your portfolio will rise up faster than the option 1 who exit everything earlier and re-enter only when it pick up. But of course there are supporters for option 1 which say the DCA cash can take to invest elsewhere to get better returns during this period you are out of the investment market. Key is they never share what is this "elsewhere" that can make monies though. Startup a business for e.g ?

So investment is full of options. Each investor form their own strategy.

I have SGD bank account and I still won't use Syfe because they are historically very reactive and not behaving like dependable experts.

Stashaway and Endowus are steady, but Endowus lacks spine and opinions in their highest risk portfolios.

Stashaway got balls to put 20% in China tech, whcih worked out in first 6 months or so before the tech crackdown. And Stashaway after adjusting to VaR exposed, their performance is pretty good.

On Endowus, you need to set 50-60% risk to emulate 36% risk on stashaway; and endowus minimum 15% risk puts 100% in bonds.

Looks like another "new lowest" day again right now.. Few more weeks then gonna be my 1 year old for 36% portfolio, terrible performance, never green since day 1, lol.. 😆

As long not KWEB type of red. US stocks will bounce back one.
My portfolio in IBKR also much red. All of them US stocks and ETFS (irish domiciled).
Keep maintain DCA and wait for them to bounce back up.

cause making more without investing you won't get to retire as well. please don't put it in a position where investing in SA is just for fun.
